Positive Reviews:Best Slippers! | | Rating: | | | I love these fellas. At first I wasn't so sure because they don't stay on your feet that great the way they are designed. But, now I have gotten used to that and I love them! They keep my feet nice and warm without making them sweaty, which them makes them cold (a big problem I have with a lot of slippers). They are a cute wool too - I have gotten a few compliments on them already. You can't wear them outside though, so a heads up for those who are looking for something to run out in. This is fine by me, though (I like a softer sole so I can wear them on the couch). | | Kettch23 at Sierra Trading Post on 01/13/2010 | Correctly accurate | | Rating: | | | I love these slippers. I have hardwood floors and live in a heavy winter (average 33 feet snow) zone. When I get home, the first thing I do is take off my boots and put on these slippers. They keep my feet warm, they're comfortable and soft, and they totally relax your feet. I still have my old pair and the only thing wrong with them is that the sole started to come off the top. . .technically, I guess I could get an awl and re-thread the top and sole, but. . .I bought a new pair. | | Meech at Sierra Trading Post on 12/03/2009 | True to the ad. | | Rating: | | | This is a true house slipper! The boiled wool keeps the toes in a state of warm bliss and the slipper style is quick and easy. I do wish the the slipper bottoms were a tad bit heavier; that way I could wear them everywhere, and you will have to buy them about a complete size larger than what you normally wear.Other than that, these are the slippers for me, and I will be purchasing another pair as soon as I can. | | Pops at Sierra Trading Post on 12/28/2009 | nice quality, contemporary look | | Rating: | | | I was looking for a pair of contemporary, vegetarian, reasonably priced slippers for around the house and these are perfect. Plus, as someone else said, they aren't made in China! The only downside for me is that they are a size too small - I am a size 10 and I should have got the 11. Being wool though, I'm hoping they are going to strech a bit. | | lokimonkey at Sierra Trading Post on 12/05/2009 | Fantastic display of footwear! | | Rating: | | | These slippers truly do the job. I got them as a present for my step-father, who absolutely adores them and wears them all the time he is in the house, and I couldn't be happier. I would suggest these slippers for a cold climate, where you just want something warm but light on your feet so the negative twenty degree windchill outside doesn't keep you down. | | The slipster at Sierra Trading Post on 12/31/2009 | Strange looking but super soft and suppl | | Rating: | | | I ordered these for my husband. When I got them, I wasn't sure of the style. Because of the "boiled" effect, they look a bit strange, but when I put them on to test them, I was wowed by the comfort! It's like the material hugs the foot. I hope he likes them as they are a gift and he really needs good slippers. | | Kibbe the Girl at Sierra Trading Post on 12/24/2009 | great product | | Rating: | | | Other reviews say to order a size larger - I'd agree - the shoes tend to run small. The only issue is that the upper is quite big then, but with a heavy pair of socks, it works quite well. Quite comfortable, and the soles are rubberized, so they're OK for hardwood floors. | | kp at Sierra Trading Post on 12/27/2009 | Great slide slippers | | Rating: | | | I leave in an old drafty house. These slippers keep my feet warm but also let them breath. This is the second pair I have bought. I had to get the new pair because my 19yr old daughter took the first pair back to school with her after Thanksgiving break. | | cmrph at Sierra Trading Post on 12/08/2009 | Nice Slippers | | Rating: | | | These slippers appear as they do in the photo, except sizing was way too small! I bought my husband 44s (which are supposed to be his regular size of 10.5) but they are tiny! I don't even know what size to get on return since they are so small. | | Cold feet at Sierra Trading Post on 12/22/2009 | Recipient was happy | | Rating: | | | All of Wesenjak slippers were sent to Japan. I heard only from one couple but they were pleased with the warmth and comfort. Everyone in Japan must take off the shoes to enter a house and slippers are MUST HAVE. I believe I chose a practical gifts. | | ts at Sierra Trading Post on 12/25/2009 |
| Negative Reviews:Would not buy a second pair | | Rating: | | | I bought these as house slipper for guests. I was surprised that the price was so high & the quality so questionable. The soles are very thin.. so not comfortable, and certainly not very warm. The wool is thin, felt like, and I have no idea how long these might last. Also, the opening seems small. The shoe is small for the size ordered. All in all.. I can't recommend, however, I will wait for my guest to try them before sending back. | | timidtrecker at Sierra Trading Post on 01/13/2010 | These slippers are undersized! | | Rating: | | | The product only only felt too small; it was 1 1/2 to 2 American sizes smaller than other slippers I have of the size ordered. Size 46 on these slippers is equivalent to size 43 on other slippers. I had to return the product. | | Jomar at Sierra Trading Post on 01/13/2010 | Disappointed | | Rating: | | | Bought this for a Christmas present. Almost returned them. Not happy with them, and feel for the price, they were on sale, that they are cheap looking. I am still giving them for Christmas, but will return them if recipient is not satisfied ! | | Lealee at Sierra Trading Post on 12/06/2009 | Poor Design | | Rating: | | | The wool is beautiful and so is the trim, BUT the shape is bad (the whole front is way too wide and loose, and worst of all, where the top joins the bottom, it's rough inside and hurts your toes. | | Florie at Sierra Trading Post on 12/08/2009 | These slippers run 3 sizes too small! | | Rating: | | | Honestly, these slippers run three sizes too small. Normally, I wear a 46; however, I would need a 49 with these slippers. My heel was fully touching the floor. | | RemyBarton at Sierra Trading Post on 12/08/2009 | More like a sock than shoe | | Rating: | | | They are warm, but do not stay on your feet. The fit is very loose on the top of your foot. More like a very loose sock. | | Kris at Sierra Trading Post on 12/23/2009 | No support, uncomfortable at heel | | Rating: | | | Unfortunately, I am going to have to return these slippers. I found them very uncomfortable and felt like they would slip off my feet when walking. | | Alice at Sierra Trading Post on 12/12/2009 | Sized one size too small. Not happy. | | Rating: | | | Sized smaller than indicated. | | Rich at Sierra Trading Post on 12/28/2009 |
Neutral Reviews:Odd fit | | Rating: | | | The fit on these is odd. I normally wear a women's size 8, ordered these in a 40 and the fit is a bit off. The heel on one of my feet rests on the rough border around the shoe, which is somewhat uncomfortable. The shoes are a bit wide around the toes tho, so if I get a larger size I'm afraid they won't stay on my feet. The sole is wool, and they're more flimsy than I was expecting, almost like a really thick pair of socks. Not the sort of slipper I'd wear outside. They are warm and I like that they're made in Austria, not China. I like them enough that I won't send them back, but don't think I'd recommend them. | | JB at Sierra Trading Post on 12/23/2009 | Nice but not perfect | | Rating: | | | These slippers are very soft and comfortable but they are too stretchy, feel more like a pair of socks than slippers. Being unisex they were too wide for me and had to retune them. To anybody looking for boiled wool slippers I would recommend the Haflinger, which have a stiffer, more supportive knit. | | Voltaire at Sierra Trading Post on 12/29/2009 | love wesnjak but size is off | | Rating: | | | Yep, as everyone says these are at least one size too small, probably two sizes too small. My husband normally wears an 8 1/2 (between 40 and 41) and he needs the 43 in this slipper. | | slipper lovers at Sierra Trading Post on 12/18/2009 | Nice but slightly small | | Rating: | | | Men's size 12 feels half size too small, but otherwise comfortable. Not especially sturdy, but lightweight. I don't know how well these will last, but I like them so far. | | the judge at Sierra Trading Post on 01/12/2010 | Haflingers are better quality | | Rating: | | | LOVE that they're from Austria, not China. Wanted boiled wool ones but my Haflingers, they've sold out, are better quality, and cuter. | | e. at Sierra Trading Post on 12/14/2009 | runs SMALL | | Rating: | | | Nice thick sole, good colors. These slippers run very small at least one size, maybe more like 1.5 sizes. | | y at Sierra Trading Post on 01/10/2010 | Nice but too small | | Rating: | | | These run way smaller than advertised. | | CJ at Sierra Trading Post on 12/26/2009 |
