These slippers are WONDERFUL!!!!!

Rating:*****
This is the second pair of wool shoes I have bought and they are wonderful! I am allergic to wool, but using the boiling process makes them so soft and the itchy fibers dissapear. They maintain their shape forever & can pass for shopping with slacks or jeans. I have had 2 major surgeries on my spine and have diabetes also, so comfort & style mean alot to me. These are not like the fluffy & furry popular houseshoes that make your feet sweat and look dirty quickly so you have to throw them away. These are the adult kind of shoes that keep your feet at an even temperature & feel great! I'm so glad that you sell such a good brand at a discount price [...]. Thanks,Sierra Trading Post!!

sizes have changed

Rating:*****
I LOVE my pair that I bought 4 years ago. The size 40 fits me perfectly (my US size is a 9). They are my favorite slipper b/c they stay on your foot, are warm and soft. The seam finally wore through at the toes, but I stitched them back together. HOWEVER, the 4 pair that I just bought for Christmas for my kids were all far too small. They must have sizing issues since many reviewers say the sizes are perfect and others say you need 2 sizes bigger. With my batch you definitely need the size or two bigger. I wanted to reorder, but they are out of all our sizes. I HOPE they bring them back.

Great improvement!

Rating:*****
This is my second pair of Wesenjak boiled wool slippers. I bought my first pair about four years ago and they've started to wear out, mainly because the soles were stitched to the uppers in such a way that the stitching wore through as one walked. The newer design with the gummed sole protects the stitching more, and the gummed sole also offers more 'protection' against cold floors -- and now you can even dare wear them outside the house, as to get the morning paper or what. Very warm and durable -- highly recommended.

Happy Mother-In-Law Now has Three Pairs!

Rating:*****
I bought a pair of these for my hard-to-fit Mother-In-Law about 6 months ago. She has worn them almost constantly since then, only taking them off to put on shoes when she goes outside. She likes the warmth, and the flexibility, and the fact that the wool doesn't itch her through her socks like some wool products do. She asked for another pair to keep handy for when she gets these cleaned. As of Christmas, she will have three pair. Best gift I've ever gotten her!

Apparently Great Slippers Run Small

Rating:****
Classic comfy wooly slipper. These run really really small; I am a US men's 11.5 and ordered a 45. Waaay too small, so I exchanged for a 46. Still a half to full size too small, but I kept them and am dealing with it by wearing them while sitting on the couch watching movies. Also, the soles are not very resistant to moisture and are a magnet for dust and pet hair, so beware.

My feet are warm and snug again!

Rating:****
I have a wide foot, so I am not surprised these fit a little snug for standard sizing, however they seem a little tighter than the previous same-sized Wesenjak slippers I had. The soles on those started coming apart from the uppers in the toe box area after a few years. I may repair them with shoe-goo and keep them as a back-up pair.

Not a fashion statement, but, love them.

Rating:*****
Love these, have looked everywhere for boiled wool, only thing that keeps my tooties warm in the winter here. Bought more than one pair for myself, but ended up giving some to grandkids, so, I hope I can buy more in my size. First pair I ordered 39, I wear a 7 1/2 shoe, sent back, and got a 40, perfect.
cool grandma, so I'm told. at Sierra Trading Post on 12/29/2009

Homely but warm

Rating:****
Warm and light-weight, but a little close to cat lady couture for my tastes. For function they can't be beat and I appreciate the thin sole without a lot of padding. My only complaint is the thick seaming on the inside took a short while to get used to, as it rubbed a bit; in socks you won't notice it.

good product, but inconsistent sizing

Rating:****
This is my second pair--I loved the first ones & wore them out. Although the new pair is the same size, they're quite a bit smaller & I can tell they'll wear out sooner (my toes will poke through). If you get a pair that fits and you don't need to wear them outside, they are the best slippers ever.

These slippers are great.

Rating:****
I just got these slippers for Christmas. And I really like them. I had gotten some others a year ago and just didn't like them. They had a hard sole and overall I was really disappointed in them. I use them around the house and I really like them. They feel true to size and are very comfortable.

Negative Reviews:

This boiled wool has never been so thin.

Rating:**
This is just not the quality of a real old time boiled wool slipper. Does not justify the price at discount whatsoever.

Runs small

Rating:*
I love my old pair, but after purchasing two pair and sending them back, I'll stick with the old ones

way too small

Rating:***
I usually wear a mens 11 or 11 1/2. I ordered a 45, which STP says equals a US 12. The 45 is more like a mens 10. I couldn't even get them on. If you can find the right size, they seem decent. The soles are very thick. The Acorn boiled wool slippers are much nicer.

fine

Rating:***
My husband wears an 11 1/2 or 12 shoe and the size 45s were too short. The 46 replacement barely fits. These run seriously small. I sent some to grandchildren for Christmas and am hopeing they will fit! I ordered larger than what they normally wear, but now fear I can't trust the sizing.

Its no Haflinger

Rating:***
I bought these because of the price and similarity with Haflinger slippers. They are not nearly the same quality (sole is very thin, fit is not great), but they are boiled wool slippers which for my money are the best way to go around the house.
