The toe area did feel a little bigger than I expected, but I also wear very thin socks, which could probably take blame for the fit. The padded heel area is extremely comfortable and makes breaking in the shoes quite painless! This is the second pair of Vans I have purchased from Zappos.com and I can easily say that their products and their service is top notch! First of all, props where props are due, they look great, but there is very little padding so it has very little support and my feet kept sliding around inside them a little, even though they were the right size. The worst thing by far was that when I went out with these shoes, one of the shoes dug a huge blister right in the back of my heel that hurt so much and made every step agonizing.
