Very prompt delivery! Groovy shoes, excellent company, this is. I had a quality issue with the first pair of Vans I received (some heavy stitching on the top of the right shoe quickly came undone, just after 4 days). So I requested an exchange for a new, identical pair. The guy on the phone was perfectly understanding. Not only did they grant me the exchange, after a few days of wear on the shoes, they also offered me a free upgrade of overnight shipment. I received the new pair the next day, in perfect condition, and sent my worn/faulty pair back shortly after. Zappos kept me informed on both sent and received packages. As my history with this company attests, Zappos is certainly worth crowing about. They deserve to be lauded. Amen.

Great Looking Shoe...Comfort So-So - These shoes looked great when they first came out a few years ago, and they do know. Go nice with slim jeans; you won't see many others wearing them so you won't look like a clone. When I first put them on, they're very comfortable. By the end of the day, my inner toe pushes up against the hard outsole. It's very uncomfortable and hard not to be aware of it; it has no give (this isn't an issue on most other shoes). Because of the tight rubbing, they blew a hole through some socks I had probably worn only about 5 times. They're not so great as a walking shoe. If you're sitting a lot, they're fine. There. Now you know.

Vans Chukka - This has been my day in day out work shoe for the past eight months until the other night. My wife said my feed stink and that I should get another pair of shoes as I had stunk these up. I hate to put them aside for awhile while my stinky foot odor gets naturally removed by not wearing them for a spell. There isn't much arch support. I usually take a high arch shoe, but I have been wearing these every day with my Thorlo (TM) socks and I've been extremely comfortable. Though, I don't know how your feed could be unhappy with the combination of Vans and Thorlos.

These are the best Vans I've ever owned bar none. Don't skate much any more. Rickety ancient I'm getting and all that but this little lovely is no nonsense foot wrap. If you prefer the puffy tongue, thicker soles you might want to move on but if you like maximum feel of the original sole and no nonsense upper you'll dig these. The little extra height of the chukka makes this shoe the default pick of any day. The material is a little thicker than the classic canvas and combined with the height gives the chuckchuck an excellent protection and wear rating. In a word: Dope!

Chukkas are a pleasant shoe - These shoes are very white, but once they get scuffed up they look good. If you think you can live through a few weeks of people asking you if those are socks you're wearing, or just saying, "Got some brand new sneakers, huh?" then these might be the shoes for you. Of course, you could just get them in black... I found myself doing a little preemptive commentary whenever I caught someone looking down at my feet, "Yup, they're really white, I know." And then I would just shrug.

Used to wear the original Sydney, but the new Sydney is way too tight and hurts my bunions. This shoe was the next best thing style wise. I usually wear a normal width size 8 shoe, but had to go up an entire size for this one. Without socks the shoe is a little loose, but the 8.5 was way too tight. With mid weight socks the shoe fit well. Also, the shoe seems abnormally wide to me. Would like one more hole to tighten these up. Cute style overall.

These shoes are a bit stiff out of the box. It helps to throw a gel insert into them as well. I've worn vans for over 25 years now and these are the only ones that are a bit uncomfortable until after a few days of wear. As far as style goes, these are what I wear when my old schools are just a bit too casual to wear out. Clean and classic, you can't go wrong with the Vans Chukkas.

The shoes are everything I expected, they are sharp shoes. I question their ability to last they way they did in the 90s, but that's the way the globalization cookie crumbles I suppose. Either way, the mid-top chukkas are no longer available at the vans stores. All they have now are the low-tops which I'm sure are fine shoes, but look like your run of the mill skate shoe: bulky.

Bought these for my husband's 39th birthday; yes he still skates! He loved them! He grew up wearing Vans so imagine how many pair he's owned! They look great with both shorts and jeans of course; will without a doubt be buying him another pair. You rock Zappos!

Love this shoe - My son got these and loves them; he is 19 years old. His dad and I wore Chukka boots in high school it is so great to see these shoes again, they are just like the originals---wonderful and go with everything.
