The result is a strong traditional style Vans skateboarding shoe, but with a very low cut and Van Engelen's bold styling.

These are totally rad, dude! Let me just say how awesome these shoes are. They are the perfect shoes paired with a pair of skinny skate jeans. I actually tried to order these from a highly reputable online skateboard retailer and to my disappointment they were on backorder. The only reason being is that they were not YET on Zappos.com at the time. Well, less than 2 weeks later, there they were on this site and IN STOCK and as always with FREE SHIPPING! That very moment I canceled the other order and went back to you know who. Well kids, the moral of this story is, "Good things come to those who wait." With Zappos.com you don't have to. Thanks again guys.

Great Shoes - Fantastic Skate Shoes- I'm a skater of over 5 years and I might have to say this is the greatest shoe I've skated. Good flick, excellent board feel yet still enough cushioning for comfort and preventing those nasty heel bruises. If you like a pretty thin shoe that feels great and skates hard go for this. Only problem is the pair I got have canvas sides, and I trashed these completely in half a month. Get some shoes, go!

Delish shoes!! They're grippy, they're durable, they have board feel, they're flexible, they're..., the AV SK8 LOWS!! These shoes are one of the best pairs of shoes that I have ever had. I love how the insole is exchangeable, so you can take it out and use it in other shoes if you want to. One of the reasons that I personally love this shoe for are because they are vulcanized. And also, they are from VANS "OFF THE WALL"!!!!! :)

I bought these for my teenage son and these shoes are really nice looking. I have purchased around eight pairs of skate shoes for just one of my sons off of Zappos and really love the convenience of the shopping experience with the great colors and styles Zappos offers me and by the way the prices are pretty comparable to the mall stores. Thanks Zappos for making my life a little easier.

Nice looking shoe, but not very comfortable - I usually buy Lakai but they didn't have my size this time around in the shoe I liked. Saw the Vans AV SK8 and it looked very similar to the Lakai I had previously purchased. Didn't realize that it was a slim, wing tip design. Fits length wise but not so well width wise. Not very comfortable.

Walking in Pillows - The shoes are great. They look great and feel excellent. It seems Vans in general have not been as "full" lately...their shoes seemed to be wider in the past which is the only reason I gave a 4 on comfort. BUT...I only buy Vans, that's all I wear, and I'm very happy with this pair.

AV SK8 Low - Awesome. I've had four pairs and each one lasts like three months. I do a lot of skating and they're very durable; skate really well and they’ll protect your feet on harsh landings. The only problem I experienced was heel bruises on a 15-stair, but other than that these are awesome.

I first saw my cousin wear these shoes and liked them in an instant. I just waited too long to get them in store. Vans at first need to be broken in so once I broke my AV Sk8 Lows it was that Vans personal comfort fit. Great shoes! Chill style.

AV skate lows - Damn these shoes ONE OF THE BEST! And I’m not just saying that; believe it or not they’re very durable even though it doesn’t look like it. Just occasionally put a little bit of shoe goo where there’s little tears and it’ll shred as good as new.

Vans AV sk8 low - These are such sick shoes. They look awesome and are super comfy. If you're considering getting these, do it. You won’t regret it. Oh yeah, the free overnight shipping is amazing, I ordered these at 9pm and got them about 12 the next day.
