North Dakota!

Rating:*****
I moved from London to ND and North Face has become my newest best friend. I've brought various other North Face coats, but got tired of the Marshmallow look. I brought this jacket, and it looks adorable. The fur was not as picture i.e. it was very flat and not at all fluffy looking. I agree with another post that mentioned that the coat crackles in the cold. I wore this coat in -22 weather a wind chill factor of -45, and I crackled a lot! Despite the crackling, it's a good looking and very warm jacket. I'll be returning the black jacket as it just didn't look as hot as the brown one that I have. I guess its just a matter of personal taste.. Enjoy this jacket without having to compromise on fashion!!

OUTSTANDING COAT!!!!!!

Rating:*****
Girls...This is truly an AMAZING COAT! I was kind of leery to buy it, thinking that it might be all big and puffy and make me look like a marshmellow. BUT NO, I was totally wrong, this coat is very slendering with it's tailored look and belt! It is also absolutely amazing in cold weather, and totally wind proof. It has been 0' degrees out this past two weeks, and I didn't grab for anything else but my Greenland Jacket! It was so warm, even when sitting in my cold car in the sub zeros! I HIGHLY recommend this coat to all you ladies out there who are looking for a sophisticated, yet sporty all around winter jacket to keep warm this year!!!

Great Jacket

Rating:*****
Love this jacket! The fur around the hood looks beautiful and doesn't matte down. The belt creates a more form-fitting look which is flattering. Connecting the Velcro closure allows the coat to stay on a hanger easily without slipping off. The front pockets angle which makes for comfortable hand placement. One con is that the black coat seems to collect a lot of lint which is noticeable. I have been looking for a warm, black, faux fur hooded jacket for a very long time and couldn't be happier with this one! No other jackets I've found can compare.

Perfect!

Rating:*****
I love the jacket, was reading lots of reviews and found them of no help since everyone was gushing about how wonderful the jacket was and not about size, fitting, etc. I'm 5'8" tall, weigh 119 lbs (8 1/2) stone for UK customers. I ordered XS it fits perfectly with lots of room, anyone within a 7 pound weight range upwards should get the XS as the S would be too big. I also have the Tri Atlantic Jacket and I ordered in XS too.... I hope my review helps. Thanks.

North-Face Fabulous

Rating:*****
This is the PERFECT winter jacket. Warm, stylish, and the superior quality you can only expect from North Face! The beautiful and roomy fur hood can be tied tightly to protect the face from extreme winds (like Kenny from South Park) and the buckle provides a snug fit to prevent wind from passing through the torso area. There is also a zipper compartment on the left sleeve which is perfect for storing keys, cell phone, etc. I am extremely pleased with my purchase.

Excellent jecket

Rating:*****
I bought this for my college daughter at the University of Iowa (where it is very cold this year). She says she has never been warmer; and says she can wear short sleeved shirts, and remain toasty while waiting for the commuter bus. That says a lot..she is always cold. It looks great on, size is right on. I am a very happy mom. I bought a different North Face for my other daughter, and I feel the same, excellent product.

Warm and stylish

Rating:*****

I bought this jacket for after skiing and for everyday walking in the winter. The HyVent fabric makes the jacket much warmer than my 550 fill down TNF without this fabric. It is also very breathable and waterproof. The insulated hood is awesome and looks great with or without the detachable faux fur. I have received many compliments on this coat. I am 5'3" so the length is perfect and keeps my hips warm, too. It is stylish and warm.

Awesome!!!

This jacket is perfect for the cold! Altrec also did an amazing job, fast service and quick follow-ups. I got mine in black and it's great. A lot of pocket room to keep your iPod and wallet in there. The hood fits securely around you face to prevent cold winds from getting to you. Nice and fluffy on the inside (could be used as a pillow) Overall great coat, great price, and great service!! Extremely happy!

I love this jacket!

Rating:*****
Look at the jacket and read the ad. This is NOT a ski or snowboard jacket. It is, however, the perfect jacket for very cold, wet weather when you want to look quite fashionable. I have ski jackets, but I wanted a truly warm, dry jacket that is longer than a traditional ski jacket. This is it. The fit is flattering, the faux fur is beautiful, and I am extremely happy with the Greenland.

Perfect Fit

Rating:*****
I just purchased this jacket and it is great the shipping was fast, the packing was great and the jacket is a perfect fit. I am a size 11 and the Medium fits just like I imagined and wanted it to is is perfect. A perfect fit. You can't go wrong on the fit and size. I definitely would make another purchase if the need arises. GREAT JACKET. Classy and fitting.

Mixed Reviews

Rating:***

I have mixed reviews on this coat, probably not because of the coat but because of what I was looking for. I could only afford one coat this season so I was looking for a very warm coat for snowshoeing and other winter activities but also something that was attractive to wear as an everyday warm coat around town. This coat almost does it but it isn't great for skiing or showshoeing, mostly because of the length and lack of a snow skirt. The length of the coat is short enough that wind does blow up it. I did keep the coat and I've been wearing it often, I have received many compliments on how it looks while wearing it around town and it's plenty warm for that purpose. I'm giving 3 stars for the length, I think if NF solved that this coat would be perfect.
