Ok for Moderate Trail Riding | |
| Rating: | ![]() |
| This bike worked well for the first three months, then really started to fall apart. The wheels are flimsy, I had to get the front tire trued as soon as the bike arrived, brand new from the warehouse. The derailleur also needed some repair before the bike was ridden, but that was because of poor packaging on the part of the Sports Authority. I've taken this bike on some really technical single track and took it in for a tune-up today. The wheels were so gone they were probably going to have to be replaced and I was told repair wasn't worth the price. The rear brake (pull) caused me some problems and the derailleur was slightly messed up as well. If you want a seriously good bike for some serious mountain biking, this is not the bike for you. It IS, however, good for beginners and some intermediate riders, provided the trails aren't extremely bumpy. Worked great as a commuter bike. Plus, it's good looking. | |

Pure Junk | |

| I have the 2007 version of this bike and it is a real piece of junk. The frame is good but the components are cheap and you'll end up replacing most everything. Do yourself a favor and buy a real bike and leave this thing in [*] where it belongs. | |

Price Too High | |

| OMG! For the same price...or less, you can buy a Raleigh Mojave 2.0 or a Trek 820. And both come with follow up adjustment warranties from the dealers. Sports Authority won't do that. Go to a REAL BIKE SHOP. | |
