The Evo Tour is for strong beginners through advanced skiers who want a lively touring ski that does everything, whether in or out of the track. It has an ABS Cap construction wrapped around an air channel wood core. This year they have added a 3D plate in the tip and the tail, which adds torsional rigidity to the ski. The mid-concept Evo Tour is sized for enhanced maneuverability, has 10mm of sidecut for turnability, and has an AR Positrack waxless pattern that is a great climbing pattern, while still having good glide. The NNN integrated binding (NIS) is quick and easily mounted directly on to the ski without screws. The flex effect of the extra material and bonding is taken into consideration as part of the overall flex of the ski, so that they will flex the same as skis without the NIS technology. There is closer contact between the ski and binding, which improves stability, ski control and kick. You can also easily mount Salomon Pilot bindings to the plate with screws, getting the added benefit of the supportive wide plate, and Salomon boot/binding technology.
