Positive Reviews:| Rating: |  | | I've never had any problems with the quality of Puma shoes, and these are no different. They are comfortable, have adequate arch support, seem to be good for walking, and are very stylish. On some surfaces, the odd prickly bottoms of these shoes make strange sounds. And yes, the bottoms of these shoes pick up everything. I usually wear 12s when I buy Pumas, and these are no exception. They definitely are more true-to-size than Puma's Suede-based classic shoes. Apart from the various 'skater' versions of the Suede, Puma are not known for making old-school shoes friendly for the wide-footed person, but the Speeder M's are better than most. Unfortunately, the upper part of the shoe is the friendly part. The sole itself is a bit too narrow in comparison. There have been a couple of times that I nearly lost my balance thanks to the narrowness of the foam sole. The other problem with these shoes is that I got a pair of Onitsuka Tiger Ultimate 81s in the same order as these Speeders, and those shoes are definitely better suited to my feet, in addition to being just as stylish and well-made as the Pumas (if not more so!). I'm going to keep the Pumas though, because they're hardly bad when judged solely on their own merits. | | Anonymous at Zappos.com on 12/28/2009 | | Rating: | | | I love these shoes! We both love indoor soccer and a lot of outdoor field games. These shoes have wonderful traction, especially on wet grass and mud. I felt like I could really take off across the field with these on. The shoes are extremely comfortable and light, almost like you're not wearing them. Just remember they are mesh so they are for warm and cool weather and they breath nicely. I guess they are not made for cold weather. Also the lighter colored mesh (white for example) tends to get slightly dirty. However, the texture on the bottom of the shoe picks up everything from dirt clumps, little rocks, grass, gum wrappers, etc. Dog poop is a nightmare to get out. Also, they aren't much waterproof at all and I got caught in the rain and the orange dye bled into the shoelaces and my socks. When I washed them like it told me to, the orange dye almost completely washed out of the shoe, leaving them yellow, green, and an odd fleshy peach color that looks like they are made out of human skin. I bought the shoes to primarily to walk around in them and not for any athletic endeavors, but even for walking the shoes are very narrow and uncomfortable. I felt that I was going to twist my ankle at any moment. The reviews are right, the shoes are not true to size. You should probably size up half a size.
