Excellent boat |

I am a professional outdoor educator and I have used a lot of kayaks at the camps I've worked at. I think 10' is an ideal length because it is easy to turn and still efficient enough to make some tracks (or should I say some wakes). I bought this boat almost a year ago and I have spent many days and nights paddling it through the salt marshes of Georgia and Lake George in New York. I have taken it through 4-5 foot waves without a spray skirt and even though I got my pants a little wet, the boat only took on a few cups of water.
I still haven't flipped it. It takes some balance to get into it from a dock, but once you get used to it, it's as easy as riding a bike. You can forget what the other guy said about it being unstable. This is not a canoe, and if you are expecting to be able to stand up in it then you will be disappointed.
The tracking is as good pretty good considering this is a 10 foot boat. If you want better tracking and better efficiency, get a longer boat. Of course, the longer your boat, the longer it takes to turn it around.
Get a good paddle and a PFD that won't get pushed up by the seat (I use a Patagonia Mesh Back) and you'll enjoy this kayak a lot! |

| The kayak is great in ponds.I can cut through the water like a knife. It has the ability to go pretty fast! It is a very stable design and I am able to enjoy my time spent in small to medium waves. The kayak is pretty stable and it doesn't seem to tip easily. The downside is that it is a little heavy to carry. It is 38 pounds. The paddle is also heavy.I wish the paddle was thinner and weighed a lot less.It is easier on my hands to have a lighter paddle.Overall,I like the kayak and I love the little storage bin.I wonder why it is not in the front of the vessel. The back seems kind of a odd place for a storage bin. |

Great Starter Kayak |

| Great kayak for a beginner who is not ready to make a large investment. I bought this last year and have had it on the Lake (Mead and Mohave) every chance I get. Tracking is a bit weak and I would of liked the rear bulkhead sealed but other than that is it's great. Very light and easy to transport. Planning on getting a larger kayak this year but I will keep this one for friends to use. Word of advice. Don't Spend the $30-40 on the bow webing from Pelican. you can do it yourself for about $5 in shockcord and some Eye hooks. |

Great little boat But... |

| I bought two of these boats to add to my flotila. I needed something small for the little rivers in New England. My 18 foot kayak was too big for a ten foot wide "river". They were easy to paddle and tracked well for a small boat. Where I have an issue is the non existent flotation in these boats. Flipping in any moving water did turn this boat into a submarine really fast. I really like the boat so I am adding additional foam to make it a safe as it is fun. |

Perfect for us! |

| My husband and I bought these kayaks for mainly river usage - especially shallow, moving water. No, they dont track the best, but for rivers with protruding rocks and small rapids, they are perfect! They turn quickly, and if you scrape the bottoms up a little on the rocks - oh well... it's an inexpensive kayak so you dont have to feel too bad about that! We have used them for two years now and haven't flipped one yet, and we were not experienced kayakers. I highly recommend this kayak for the river. |

| Has been a good kayak for years now, the only problems I have had was a missing screw on the foot pegs, which is because the hole didn't match up to the actual peg, I just plugged that hole and it works fine. Also the storage area isn't water tight, but I don't put anything in there that I wouldn't want to get wet, so no problem. It is fun and durable-been down many rivers hit a lot of rocks and it still performs fine. |

Freedom at last!!! |

This Kayak is great for both teenagers learning the basics and adults who have medium skills and want a kayak that they can take and handle alone for an overnighter or single day trip. Very stable and easy to maneuver. I would recommend this to anyone who either wants to try our kayaking for the first time, on a budget or who doesn't mind saving a little to get a lot!!
Great Purchase!! |

A Must Have |

| I recently purchased two as a beginner. My wife and have taken them out a couple of times now and have loved the freedom, the tracking and the stability of the kayak. These are a keeper and would highly recommend them to anyone. Even look for used ones. I purchased mine a [@] Far less expensive on an already reasonably priced kayak |

| This boat is so easy to launch and pull out, I find myself using it more than my fancy fishing kayak. A little toe curling in big waves but great in currents and light wind. |
