great vest for indoors and outdoors

Rating:*****
I own 8 of these in different colors because I wear them all the time. They're great for indoors since I'm always cold in the winter, and they don't make me sweat like the heavier ones. Of course, they're great for outdoors when it's a little warmer. I also like the fact that they're not bulky and I can wear my winter jackets over them without feeling too tight or too hot. The new ones seem just a little bit tighter around the armpits, but not too bad. The material seems a little different for the new ones - more dense and less fuzzy? I'm sure I'll get used to it. Overall, this is a must-have.

I LOVE THIS VEST!!!!!!!

Rating:*****
If I had to go to a desert island with only one piece of clothing, I would take my Synchilla vest (assuming of course this is a chilly island). I got one for Christmas years ago, and I wear it nearly every day 3 seasons of the year. I couldn't rave about it enough--comfortable in every possible way, looks good, keeps me warm but not too hot. The perfect layering gift. Looks equally good in the office or on the trail. Lasts forever. I've given mine a beating with trips all over the world and daily use both on the trail and at work. Most versatile piece of clothing I own.

Stylish and Practical

Rating:*****
I bought this vest for fall and spring and it was well worth it. It's totally stylish and adds the perfect amount of warmth. I walk my dog every morning in it. It's great quality. I expect it will last forever. It's also light enough to go for a jog in. I feel like I don't even have a sweater on but it keeps me warm. The pockets are also big enough to where you can keep your keys and phone and not have to worry about a purse. I definitely suggest purchasing it. For women who are looking for comfort yet something nice looking, it's a must!!!

Your standard fleece vest

Rating:****

There isn't much to separate this vest from all the other fleece vests out there. It's really a matter of fit, because there aren't many features. For me, the Patagonia Synchilla is a winner. This is an all-around great piece. The fit is the best for my body type. The feature that I appreciate is that it's made from recycled polyester. The technology to do that makes it a little more expensive for now, but I think that it's worth it in the long run to encourage its use and development.

Great Vest

Rating:*****
I purchased this vest to wear when I ride my horses. I was looking for something that was form fitting but not too tight; something that gave extra warmth without bulk that allowed me to layer. This vest is perfect! It was sized correctly--I usually order a small and a small was the correct size. The only complaint, but this occurs with all polar fleece, animal hair and hay tends to stick to it--I just have to remember to add that extra layer when I groom my horse.

warm and soft

Rating:****
I have a very ancient Patagonia synchilla vest that I adore--and that has a more form-fitting waist-recognizing styling than the new one. Ain't it always the way. But this version is soft and warm and I've been happily wearing it under and over sweaters and jackets and around the house on cold fall mornings. And I really love the warm brown color of this vest. So four stars, reserving the fifth nostalgically for my trusty old vest.

Looks great; washes great; fits great: what's not to love?

Rating:*****
This is a wonderful vest. The arm holes are cut just right--not too big, not too small. The weight is perfect for chilly houses, for cool days with Capeline 3 underneath and for cold weather layering it underneath a jacket. It washes well, retaining its shape and brand new look. The pockets are placed well and big enough to be useful. This is a solid value for the money. you won't regret buying.

The perfect vest

Rating:*****
Wasn't sure I was a vest girl when I bought this, but I've ended up wearing it constantly. The fit is perfect and it provides a little extra core warmth on those chilly days. Looks great over a t-shirt or light sweater, or even under a jacket for extra warmth. I also like that the pockets are big enough to hold a ski cap or my keys and cell phone when running errands.

glad to find a bright color for women!

Rating:*****
As usual, excellent Patagonia quality. This time combined with a bright color for women! This is a struggle I have with Patagonia products, that all the wonderful colors, bright blues and reds and greens, are there in the men's collection but seldom in the women's-- please, designers at Patagonia, women like the bright jewel tones as well, do not give us pastels, pinks, etc. Seriously. Women do not need drab, washed out colors.

Love this vest

Rating:*****
I'm a big fan of vests since they keep your core warm but allow your arms full range of motion. The length is great, just past your waist, not too short, but the best part about this vest is the pockets. They are deep and square and secure. I can hold all sorts of things in them and still have room for more! Love this vest.

Sheds

Rating:**

Perfectly adequate function and nice fit -- I like that the length is shorter than some other fleece vests on the market (esp. TNF), and it's mostly the same length front and back. Has a nice shape to the body and shows some curves. But the natural color fleece sheds and left fuzz all over everything it touched.

Wanted to love it

Rating:***
I love the weight, cut, and fit of this vest -- love that it is not too long or short, sitting just above my hip bones (5"6" and short-waisted). Love the trim fit and how it sits close to the body esp. under the arms (I got a small, wear med. in Cap 3 and 4, these run a bit large). Love the versatile weight. Love that it comes in natural -- I wanted the color in particular. Didn't love how the natural color shed all over everything. Returned it and will try one of the other vests -- maybe the Makka vest in Chanterelle.
