Sailing Shorts | |
| Rating: | ![]() |
| As the director of a midwestern sailing camp, i find these shorts to be the perfect summer attire. I am in and out of the water all day, and i need something that can take rugged treatement. I also need to carry a gerber, so wearing a belt is a must. While the shorts take a little long to dry, the five inch version dries quick enough. They also look professional when you are speaking with parents. Only reason i should not have not given a five star rating is the small piece of velcro for the extra pocket on one of my three pairs has come loose. Peace. | |

| I have worn Stand Up shorts for more than 20 years and I have one pair that is more than 20 years old. They still look great and after hiking, climbing, biking, sailing, prospecting for gold, and you name it these shorts are up to the task and then some. Exceptionally comfortable even in the hottest conditions, they can be dressed up with a sports jacket when the need presents itself. Please keep the 5" inseam, perfection just shouldn't be messed with. A pair of these will last you for years and being able to say that today is something. | |

5" Stand-up Shorts | |

| They're very comfortable and wear well. HOWEVER: loose the new back pocket inside the right back pocket. It's thick n bunchy, and unneeded. Since when did Patagonia "paint lilies and gild gold"? Ditch this addition, and the shorts go back to FIVE stars. Also, please keep the Stand-ups in 5" and heavy-weight fabric around year-'round. The long-legged shorts aren't shorts, and the light-weight don't wear well. I know: I've been wearing this style since they had Lost Arrows on the button. | |

Best shorts get better | |

| The 5-inch Stand-ups are the only britches I wear from April to November (March to December if the Adirondack winter allows). Tough, comfortable, practical, great design. I personally like the addition of the 3rd back pocket - comes in handy when I'm travelling and I need to be something of a file cabinet. I'm glad to see the "heavyweight" stand-ups back - great year-round weight (again, winter permitting). Definitely a hallmark product for the whole Patagonia thang. Keep 'em coming! | |

My favorite shorts | |

| I have about six pairs of the Stand Up Shorts of the shorter length. They hold up extremely well, are comfortable, and look great on. Patagonia is one of a very few places where the shorter length shorts are available. I sincerely hope they continue to carry the shorter option as there is quite a niche for it. Are you hearing me, Patagonia? | |

The Short | |

| I have worn these shorts for over 30 years and they last. I have been a mountain guide, Park Ranger, Outdoor education instructor, farmer, photographer and coordinator for Maryland's Outdoor Adventure program. These are the only piece of clothing to have stood the test of time. I do miss the original heavy duct but my chafe does not! Travel Well my friends. | |

Great Pants | |
| Rating: | ![]() |
| Gave these pants five stars due to the addition of the new wallet pocket. Had two pair of the pants in my dresser drawer for about four years. Didn't want to let loose of them! Now that my exercise and diet are paying off I am back into them. Felt so great to be back that I purchase two more pair. | |

| Is the 5" inseam the shortest you carry? I could not see any that were shown that had the shorter inseam, even though it is stated there are several inseam sizes available. I am 5' 3" tall, weigh 157 and have a 36" waist, therefore, would need the shortest inseam possible | |

I really like the fit and feel of these shorts. | |

| My new shorts came today and they fit nicely. The material is sturdy and I expect they will last a long time. It is hard to find shorts with a 5 inch inseam so I'm thankful I found your websight. My only "gripe" is the expense. Thanks Fred | |
