top shelf quality and look

Rating:*****
I've been waiting years to afford a Patagonia item - this is the first - got it on sale here last week. It seems Patagonia doesn't over-produce so they run out of sizes early in the season. I believe they are the highest quality, most eco-friendly products you can buy. I am 170, 5'10 and the medium fits perfectly - a little loose. The green is a cool color - has a brown tint. The main challenge with Patagonia I've encountered before is fit and color. Last year I tried a sweater on at the store and the sleeves were about 2 inches too long. Also some of their colors are too progressive (crazy) but this one was perfect. The fit and finish are perfect. The weight seems just right - not too heavyweight, not thin. I like to wear them at work but don't want to overheat. I don't know how much it will pill yet but I expect to wear it for many years.

A great purchase, after a year

I've own the green now for a year - no pilling at all yet. A fantastic purchase. [...] EMS you are the best but full price doesn't cut it.

Great Product

Very warm. Colors are true when you see them in person. Only downside is handwash cold requirements. Would recommend it anyways. Very soft for wool.

fits well, feels good

Rating:****
For a factory-made sweater (I suspect), the wool feels good and the fit of the XXL is good for me (6'6", 230 lbs.).
