Technical hit from Oakley

Rating:*****
I’m a big fan of this jacket. I like being able to wear just a base layer and a jacket and being warm so a shell jacket and a bunch of layers isn’t for me in cold weather. This is a great jacket for cold northwest winters just throw it on and wear it from your house to the lodge and up the slopes. The pit zips are a little off center so you don’t even notice them and I hardly ever wear a hood so it’s nice that it come off. The magnetic closures for the storm flap a pretty cool and effective and the goggle pocket is huge. Out of all the technical jackets to chose from I decided to give it a try and have no regrets. The wrist cuffs do feel a little flimsy and cheesey but you barely notice they are there and they keep the snow of your gloves and sleeves just fine.

Great Jacket

Rating:*****

I got this jacket in camo and it looks great. It is not bulky and still kept me warm. All I had on underneath was a baselayer, a thermal, and a shortsleeve tshirt and was still warm, even when I was on the chairlift getting 6 inches of snow dumped on me. I agree the magnets are very strong and can be annoying when you are trying to reach the goggle pocket and the jacket will snap together even when you have it unzipped, however when you're riding it doesnt even matter. Jacket runs true to size...I am 5'11 and 165 lbs and got the medium.

Great Jacket!!!

Rating:****

I grab one of these in M size, Vivid Blue. The jacket looks super cool!!! But be aware about the sizing: I have other (older models) of Oakley jackets in M size and this one is the smaller one. If fits me just fine, but there's no place for more than a long sleeve T-shirt and a tight vest OR (not and) my back protector I couldn't try it yet, but if you need more that these when temperatures drop down, you'll probably pick a larger size. I'm a 1,82m tall, 83Kgs. Anyone who has try it during 10°C days??? Opinions? Saludos!

Sick jacket, can't wait for winter!

Rating:****

Could only give this jacket 4 stars since I haven't worn it in true winter weather yet but I got this in the mail after buying it from steepandcheap for $85 plus shipping. Not only was that a huge discount, but this jacket is f-ing awesome. It's got function and looks, can't wait to wear it out in the cold! Tons of pockets, the magnets are a plus, like the hood, and the insulate collar is a great idea. It will seal you nicely from the snow. I am 6' 5" and 250lbs and the XL fit great.

great jacket

Rating:*****

this jacket is the best. the fit is perfect and the craftsmanship is superb. it is nice and warm but still comfortable on warm wet days. I wore it when it was 40 out with just a t shirt and all the vents open and i felt just fine. the jacket feels substantial too, its ready for anything you throw at it. i also get a lot of comments on the jacket as well (i bought the camo one) people think it looks great and are pretty impressed by it.

Awesome but be aware...

Rating:*****

Got mine in november of 2008 and used it all the way thru the season. Super comfy, Warm but not too hot. Good pocket set up, water repellent and good style. good price too. The only drawback (as you have seen mentioned a few times above) is the fit. It happens to fit me perfectly but some people hate the cuts on oakley jackets. my suggestion. send it back if you dont like the fit...but atleast try it. if it does fit you wont regret the quality.

Good Stuff

Rating:****

just got this jacket in the mail today from steepandcheep and am excited to bust it out this winter. the thinsulate is nice and low profile. comfortable enough to wear it around all day and not want to get out of it. it fits really well in the shoulders and chest with a little room to move. I'm 6'1" 195 pounds and the large works for me. can't give it 5 stars because i haven't had a chance to ski with it yet

good jacket

Rating:****

Oakley always does a good job with their apparel. although their stuff is usually overpriced, it is of good quality. I really like the jacket, it looks nice on the slopes and kept me warm when i needed it. The magnets are really strong, sometimes too strong and they clasp the jacket together even when i want to leave it open and unzipped. I would definitely recommend this jacket.

Great Jacket

Rating:****
This Jacket looks and feels great. Everything is good with this jacket but one big bad thing is the sleeves are way too long and not true length for size of jacket. I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because of the sleeve length.

Button snapped off first time I put it on

Rating:**

I got this off tramdock and was so excited. Went to put it on the first time and the button on the powder flap ripped out of its place instead of snapping out of the female part. Sucks! I was looking forward to using it, but now I have to return it. Looks really nice (I got the blue), but the craftsmanship has me worried...

Odd fit

Rating:***

Ordered the jacket off tramdock. jacket seemed very nice, lotta good details, but i found the fit funny. i'm 5'9, 140 and the small was tight on my chest, yet kinda big everywhere else. if it fit properly i would have kept
