works as advertised |

| I have had my mh transition zip t for a few weeks now. I works as advertised. It blocks most of the wind and is great from 20 to 40 degrees. After calling mh, I discovered that the transition featherweight zip tee is not the same as this one. For one, the featherweight is $30.00 dollars cheaper! It is last year's design so the cut is not the same and the seams are not sealed and can be aggravating if worn alone with nothing underneath. I haven't worn mine yet without a base layer, but I think it would be fine. The only negative thing I can say is that it doesn't have venting and doesn't breath as well as I would like considering I get warm easy while working out. So far I have worn my zip t running but I think it would work great for cycling or any outdoor activity. If you want to save $30.00 and don't need to wear it as a base layer, you might consider the featherweight zip tee. If I would have known that it was available before I bought mine, I probably would have gone with the featherweight. |

Awesome wind layer for climbing |
| Rating: | |
| This is my new 'goto' wind layer for alpine and trad accents. (I also like the Arc'teryx Accelero pullover though) It is super light, for a softshell, and offers much better durability and breathability than traditional wind shirts. Like most MH tops it runs pretty snug to say the least. I'm 5'7, 135, with a typical climber build and would have a hard time with the small if it were any smaller; in the torso anyway. The sleeves are a little long, but not unbearable; I have a dead even monkey index and the sleeves come right to my wrists when my arms are fully extended. The zip could be a little deeper for better ventilation and easier entry/exit, but it is really not bad. The one pocket is reasonably sized for small items. This is a light piece and is not meant for cargo toting, so I have no problem here (the pocket is substantially larger than the pocket in the Arc'teryx Accelero). All in all another great product from MH! |

A great jacket for cycling and running |
| Rating: | |
| I have worn this jacket cycling and running at 30-40F in both dry and drizzly conditions and have found it excellent at keeping the wind and drizzle out and the warmth in. I prefer to wear it with a very thin quick dry t-shirt underneath at temperatures below 35F. I am 5'9" and weigh 155 and find Medium to be a good fit. The pocket holds a cell phone and car key close to the body while running. One minor criticism would be that the zipper is a little short for optimal ventilation. I like this so well, however, that I may order the Transition jacket as well. All in all, a nice product and a good addition to my active wardrobe. |

Great shirt on windy days |
| Rating: | |
| I love the shirt. It's not as warm as some other fleeces like the Cloudveil run don't walk, but it does a much better job of stopping the wind. So it's great on cool (but not super cold) windy days. I'm surprised by some of the sizing comments though. Based on the advice that these run small I ordered an XL and it was HUGE. I'm 5-11" and about 175 and the sleeves on the XL came down past my fingers. L worked much better, though it's a bit snug, which I think is how it's meant to be. |

If you do endurance sports in cool/cold weather, you need at least one of these. |

| This thing is amazing for endurance sports in cool/cold weather. It seems to adapt to the temperature to keep you warm but not too hot. I can run 10-15 miles in it in anywhere from 20-40 degrees with only a t-shirt under it. It does seem to run a bit small but that night be one of the keys to how it functions/keeps the right amount of heat in. |

Awesome Cool-Weather Top |
| Rating: | |
| I've worn my Transition Zip top, no base layer, on several cool-weather (45-60 degrees F) hikes with extremely impressive results. Despite a good pace, it really wicked the moisture away well; at the same time, though, it easily stops wind gusts. The best of both worlds. Bear in mind that rubbing will degrade the finish, but with such performance, it's worth being extra careful! I highly recommend it. |

Good piece of gear |

| This layer is excellent at stopping wind. Its great for cool weather or cold weather aerobic activities. It breathes very well. It's also great to bring along backpacking as a windbreaker for mild conditions. It has a lot of different uses which you can use to justify the price if you can pick one up on sale. I'd certainly buy one again if this one comes up missing. |

Fantastic Shirt |
| Rating: | |
| This shirt is my new favorite. Lightweight, thin, very comfortable, and does block the wind without making you break a smothering sweat. I have already ordered a second to keep with me in my pack. Only thing with ordering, is it is sized to fit snug on the body, so, if you don't have a six pack, consider one size larger than you would normally get. |

Get two of these! |

| When I skate ski I start cold and then get surper hot. This is the shirt that works for both. It is soft next to the skin and wicks the sweat away. The cut is roomy in the shoulders. I take it backpacking in the summer as well for those cool or windy days. Just stuff it in the pack. Get two of these. I did! |

blocks wind, but could breathe better |
| Rating: | |
| I wore this shirt over a base layer hiking this winter. The temp was 25 F. Though it blocks wind extremely well (30 mph winds) my base layer did not dry quickly. This will be a great shirt for activities that does not require prolonged heavy sweating such as winter running or fast paced hiking. 5'8" 150lbs, and the medium fits very well |
