Nice rain jacket!

Rating:*****
I bought this jacket for the next trip to seattle, so I haven't wear this in the rain yet. When I get this jacket, I tried it on in front of a mirror, it looked very very cute!I love it! I usually wear women's size 6 or 4, and I ordered size S of this rein jacket. The jacket leaves enough space to wear thin sweater under it. It fits nicely along my body line, so I look very feminine in this jacket. I cannot wait to wear this in rain. I am sure I will like rainy days better with this jacket.

great jacket

Rating:*****
I bought this jacket for my college age daughter. She was heading off to a cold weather college and needed a jacket that was warm, waterproof, and cute. This met all of our criteria. She ordered up one size so she had room for a fleece jacket under it. She also has long arms and wanted to have enough room. The zippers are easy to use and are sturdy. The jacket rolls up to fit in her book bag, so it is easy to transport. She also thought that it had the right amount of pockets and other features.

I don't usually give 5 stars, but...

Rating:*****
this piece is replacing my 10-yr-old Super Pluma from Patagonia , and I have to say Marmot has done better than the best with this shell. It is fabulously comfortable, has excellent features and is fitted properly for a woman. I wore it this winter weekend for snow tubing at Boyne in upper Michigan with silkweight baselayers and a wool insulating layer; it kept out the snow & wind and kept me dry. I am looking forward to using it with less insulation for x-country skiing, and then as a rain shell in the drippy spring.

A hood alone is 5 Stars!

Rating:*****
My daughter liked her mom's so much she wanted one. Both her mom and she like the way the hood lays perfectly flat against the back when not over their heads (with cord adjustments). This is apparently a great feature for those that don't often tuck their hoods in their collars! The Phoenix jacket must have been designed for those tuckless creatures in mind! The hood is not removable and cannot be inserted into the collar. Initially I was cool on the hood/collar design but now I see its advantages. Nice!

great lightweight rain jacket

Rating:*****
This jacket is lightweight and provides excellent coverage in the rain. The hood is adjustable in size by a cord in the back. Another nice feature is the folding collar on the inside of the hood. There are zippers under the armpits for breathability; the zippers are stiff at first, but after wearing it a few times, they won't be noticed. There are also two outside pockets that zip and an interior pocket. Overall, I am quite satisfied with my purchase and recommend it to others.

Nice rainjacket!

Rating:*****
I've used this when traveling and also for summer hiking. It's lightweight and easy to stuff into a pack or bag, and cuts the wind. Great pockets: two large hand pockets fit a Nalgene bottle or a wallet, inner mesh pocket is great for the phone. There's a drawcord to cinch up the waist and you can adjust the fit on the wrists with velcro straps. Pit zips would have been nice as it's not breathable; just a good lightweight rain jacket.

Wonderful jacket!

Rating:*****
I bought this jacket for a trip to London, it was perfect -- lightweight, yet rain-proof. It folds up (acutally I could roll it and put it in my large purse) without wrinkling too much and I loved the length of the jacket and its stylish classic look. Both my sister-in-law and daughter want one!

Love the Fit!

Rating:*****
The women's style and fit of the Marmot rain jacket is exactly what I was looking for. I tried on other brands but nothing compared to this jacket. Lightweight and easy to wear over additional clothing. Love it so much I will be purchasing for one for my husband!

Great spring jacket

Rating:*****
With a proper fit and classic design, this jacket is ideal for women in need of a fall/spring jacket. It is also suitable as a winter jacket if worn with other layers. It blocks wind and water but is still breathable. Comfortable and well-made, this jacket is unbeatable.

Great Jacket, Does the Job!

Rating:****
I bought the jacket specifically because it was light weight, waterproof with "pit" ventilation. I get pretty hot while riding my bike so I just need something to stay dry. Jacket is perfect length so that my backside isn't exposed while bent over my bike.

Homely

Rating:**
Sorry Marmot, this one may be useful in some situations but the inside pockets are not attractive. They are meshlike material that seem to be in the way when the zipper is down. Ordered this hoping it would be breathable but have a more comfortable inside liner than my Precip.

Not So Hip

Rating:***
Let me start by saying it was hard to rate because as soon as I got the jacket I LOVED the color (tea green) and it's so lightweight, exactly what I was looking for because I often work outdoors in the hot, rainy Florida afternoons. However, while it fit perfect in the arms, bust and waist...the hips were too tight once zipped. I'm a very typical XL, so was surprised when it was so snug after zipping. I'm sadly returning it...wishing Marmot was more generous in their sizing because every other aspect of the jacket is superb.
