Lightweight Vest

Rating:*****

If you want a great lightweight vest, look no further. This vest is perfect for early spring and late fall when I need a little bit more than a long sleeved t-shirt to keep me warm. The driclime also works well as a light layer under a spring jacket, or even a ski shell. I wear it under my precip jacket when I need just a smidge more warmth.
The only thing that would make this vest better is if there was a little hole from the chest pocket to the interior of the vest, so that you could run headphones for your ipod through it. If you're creative and don't mind cutting a little slit in the pocket of your vest, that'd work to.

Works well as a running vest!

Rating:*****

This is my first DryClime product. I ran on a breezy cool 25 degree winter day and it was perfect with nothing but a baselayer. The vest is very light and was as warm or warmer than my fleece vest because of the wind protection while being only half as bulky. It also worked well on a day with no breeze and displaced moisture so well it felt dry at the end of the run. It doesn't have as much insulating value as my fleece vest when I am standing around, but then standing around isn't why I got it. If you run in cooler weather it is a great piece to have.

good climbing vest

Rating:****
I have used this vest (older version) for three seasons climbing and mountaineering in Austria and Switzerland and has accompanied me on almost every outing.
I like how the outer fabric functions well as a windbreaker and the inner fabric "insulates" just enough to not cool off when taking a break.
I have the version where the front, sides and shoulders have a inner fabric, that means the back has only the windbreaker shell. This is great because the backpack protects me anyway and doesn't bunch up.
I wish the vest were about 2-3 inches longer so that it stays put when tucked into my harness.

Good for cold weather running

Rating:*****
I use this vest for cold weather running and it performs very well. The front on my vest is driclime and blocks the wind nicely, while the black is some type of heat-dumping stretchy fleece material. The fit is good too over a base layer, but not really any room to layer underneath, which works well for running. Although, this vest is relatively lightweight, it provides a surprising amount of warmth, but still keeps the moisture moving. One caveat, Driclime does tend to stain, I spilled some coffee on the vest and the stain refuses to come out.

Favorite layer by far

Rating:*****
I use the DriClime Vest while backpacking, running trails, climbing, etc in windy, chilly, and/or rainy conditions where a fleece sweater is too hot, and a base layer top alone is not enough. The vest is just warm enough to keep me comfortable (but not hot) and helps block the wind from chilling me due to rapid evaporation of sweat. Once the temperature drops below 40F, this becomes my favorite layer.

nice vest at a great price

Rating:*****

unlike a lot of "windproof" fleece this has nylon on the outside and it really does stop the wind. I have this and the matching jacket, they are both amazingly light and compactable, fits in a small corner of my bag. Not super warm like a down vest but enough for a fall bike ride. Best it's only $60, look at comparable patagonia or northface, this is a steal.

First there was the wheel, then sliced bread came along. What came next? That's right, the Driclime Vest. Man I love this thing -- especially for aerobic pursuits in cold weather (25-45 degrees)! It keeps me "just right" as Goldilocks would say. I don't mind cool arms but I abhor an overheated core. You gotta own this puppy and add it to your arsenal. It's a must have!

esential permanent kit in your pack!

not to be worn against sharp rock when thrutchy moves are required; i had a suunto in the chest pocket on day one while struggling on a variable off width come tight chimneying very old school trad dolerite route and wore a few holes in it. however great layer for new zealand mountaineering trips. i'll be getting the same in a jacket or shirt, or both!!!

The Best Vest for your Chest

Rating:*****
This is my most valued and used vest for winter pursuits. Whether just staying warm at the stadium, during a morning jog, or layered under a shell- you won't run out of uses for this vest. Durable construction, lined hand-warmer pockets, slim fit, neck gusset. This vest is a must- especially at this price!

Great lightweight vest

Rating:*****

This is an ideal vest if you are looking for a light layer to wear under a parka or that slight bit more on a cool fall afternoon. The pockets are great and the vest wears well after several days skiing and snowshoeing. I readily recommend this vest.

Light and compact

Rating:***

This vest packs down small and takes up so little room in your pack. I had to return my size L because it was too short and too tight (i'm 6'0" and 190), but the material is nice. Probably not the toughest, but for the price if you find the right size it'll work great.
