| I've been trail riding with this light mounted on my helmet the past two months and it has exceeded my expectations. I've had two niterider minewts and I find this light to be superior in every way. First, it still works, unlike both of my minewts which had to be sent in to niterider for warranty repairs (one battery failed, one light failed). Second, its brighter and the beam is more focused which I prefer in a helmet mounted light. Third, the battery life is longer and holds a charge consistently even in 20 degree weather. Fourth, it comes with a helmet mount and the light mounting system itself is so much easier to use than the minewt o-ring setup. Very easy to switch from helmet to bars. Fifth, it comes with a long enough cable that you can mount it on your helmet and put the battery in your jersey pocket or camelbak without having to buy an extension. I have no axe to grind with niterider, just haven't had much luck with the minewt. In all fairness, several of my riding partners have them and like them. For me there is no comparison. I love the Stella! Planning on a second one to mount on my bars as soon as my last minewt dies... which shouldn't be long. | |

| It would not be an understatement to say that I love this light! I ride a daily commute that always brings me home in the dark. The illuminated path is clear, easily aimed, and BRIGHT. This is handle bar mounted, and therefore my only suggestion would be a disconnect for the lamp as well. I fear leaving this on the bike unattended, and figure I can wire it myself if need be. This has been a very reliable buddy. | |
