Appalachain Outdoors

Ideal for thru-hikers and lightweight backpacking devotees, LEKI Thermolite trekking poles are LEKI's lightest adult, non-carbon trekking poles, weighing in at just 15 ounces per pair! Incorporating a positive angle into the compact right and left hand grips, Thermolite poles preserve a more neutral ergonomic position for your wrist and hand, allowing for comfort and precise tip placement. Integrated straps further reduce stress on your wrists and provide additional security and comfort. LEKI's Super Lock System (SLS) uses wide thread patterns and steep-angled lock mechanisms to provide quicker and easier adjustments and is up to 60 times more secure than other locking systems. The SLS locking system is far less prone to loosening while in use, giving you peace of mind even in challenging situations. Thermolite poles employ carbide flex tips that deflect up to 30 degrees without damaging the lower pole sections. This reduces the risk of pole breakage if the pole should get caught between rocks or tree roots on the trail. Standard trekking baskets are included and are interchangeable with a simple screw on/off design that stays secure. Optional snowflake and deep powder baskets (sold separately) allow the poles to be converted for winter use. LEKI Thermolite poles are sold in pairs.

They're just poles

Rating:****
These are just poles, no more no less. They have a wide adjustment range, comfortable grips and are lightweight. They are a great set for someone that wants to try them out but not waste time or money with cheap stuff or throw away money on upper models that they will never notice the difference on. These poles have other applications such as pitching tents, frame support, carrying injured hikers and makeshift anchors in a pinch.

Excellent

Rating:*****
The poles are just what I wanted. They are light and extremely comfortable. I do alot of geocaching and wind up off trail most of the time. On more than one occasion the poles have kept me from falling on a rocky slope. Highly recommended
