Positive Reviews:| Rating: | | | Zappos Core Value #10: Be Humble Yep! I wear woman's shoes. Humbling! If the shoe fit... So I bought a pair of Keen Newport Sandals - Women's - Black size 11 on August 14, 2004, they still wear well and I wear them for all purpose, you'll see me kickin' a pair off if you visit my tube page and view a few beach kite flying vids, but back to this brand. Now the only reason I ordered a new pair is that I snapped the quick lock band on my old pair while insulating an attic; the Keen brand has held up and provide excellent support and surefootedness, which grants this brand my loyalty. From painting to plumbing, to delving deep into an open computer case, from jet ski, to weather station maintenance on my roof, from opening a door with my toe, to shopping, or keeping my feet off cold tile floor they are on. 5+ years. Just put on my new set of Keen Newport H2 Black Olive/Deep Lichen's and having measured my foot with a seamstress tape at centimeters, measured 26.5 cm., which means by the chart I could have ordered a Men's US 9.5 or Women's 11 as per the chart, yet I followed the users advice here. Women's US Euro UK Inches CM 11 41-42 9 10.5" 26.7 Men's US Euro UK Inches CM 9.5 42-43 9 10.4375" 26.7 I ordered Men's US 10.5, full size larger than measured and they fit like the old Newport, and they even match up sole roll and heel placement. I'd like to see more stock in the women's 11.5 and 12, as the colors and styles have more breadth. Those Keen Venice H2 light green/yellow fade would look great with me flying off the ground with my kite, or boosting with the Jet ski. As for Zappos! How can you ever expect more from the business that defines customer satisfaction? | | Woobieizer at Zappos.com on 10/06/2009 | | Rating: | | | Keen convert! The Newport H2 are amazing shoes. They fit my foot perfectly and as soon as I put these on and started walking, I had the urge to sprint. The first day I used them I wore them on a short hike in the Cascade Mountains with my family. It was a short but muddy hike. I got them dirty, including the straps, and then hosed them off that night and wore them to work the next day on my bus commute where I walk 1+ miles. I have subsequently worn them on two more hikes in the mountains and really like how my foot is low to the ground and the sole provides the support and cushion that makes any hike a joy. I won't wear my hiking boots now. I bought them to take on my trip to Florida and these will be my main shoes for the trip. They will also be my main shoe for my boat. I have a 23' skiff that I use on Puget Sound for freediving and the Newports with a nice wool sock fit the bill. Maybe not in the winter, but I plan to test that out. Love 'em! | | Anonymous at Zappos.com on 10/15/2009 | | Rating: | | | This was the perfect shoe for a trip to Belize, Central America. I used it for walking the town, hiking, water sports and cycling. Very supportive. Once I put them on though, I knew that I needed to wash my feet with soap once I took them off so I didn't have smelly feet. They took overnight to fully dry in an air conditioned space, but if in a humid space a full day was necessary. I erred on the side of a snug fit and I was glad I did. After 16 days of daily non-stop usage, the drawstring cord got a bit stretched out and the shoe really molded to my foot, making any snugness disappear; they were perfect! My husband bought the same sandal and thoroughly enjoyed the good toe protection. For those tan line conscious: we both got "stripe" tan lines on our feet. | | Leah B at Zappos.com on 11/30/2009 | | Rating: | | These sandals are fantastic, very comfortable, and very stylish. I wear a size 17, so I was pretty happy to find something like this in my size. I\'d also like to thank Zappos, I did have a problem early on where the stitching went out on the sandals, but Zappos provided a replacement pair immediately. The replacement pair seemed slightly smaller than the original pair, but they actually felt better than the originals, so I\'m happy. I also agree with those that say that sweating can be a slight issue in them, but nothing terrible for me. I tell everyone about Zappos, especially those with big feet. Great selection, great prices, and bar none the best customer service of any online store I\'ve ever dealt with. I\'ve bought my last four pair of shoes from Zappos, and I\'ll continue to be a loyal customer.

I practically lived in them during the summer, and am reluctant to give them up as cold weather approaches. I tried them with socks and so far, so good. I need arch supports in all my shoes, but for some happy reason, have found that I don't need them in the Keens. The sandals also give me the extra width I need. I took my wife's advice and ordered the sandals a half-size larger than my normal 10.5 size in sneakers. That worked great. We've bought a lot of shoes through Zappos and are completely satisfied. | | Anonymous at Zappos.com on 10/12/2009 | | Rating: | | | I've had these Keen shoes for almost a month now. It's the only shoe I've worn since I got them. I put away my tennis shoes; I put away my Brinkenstock sandals. They have become my everyday shoes. The inner sole is made out of rubber and at first it takes a little while to get used to having bare skin in contact with it. I got over it in a day or two. When we have beautiful weather like we do in the summer, there's no reason to wear anything else. I've used them on bike rides, hikes and at the office. Last weekend I traveled with them and they are easy at the airport. | | Anonymous at Zappos.com on 08/21/2009 | | Rating: | | | Recently purchased these for our trip to Maui. Previously, my husband purchased a pair of sandals whose brand name will remain anonymous, but let\\\'s just say, I warned him they wouldn\\\'t be as comfortable as a pair of Keens. Did he listen? He\\\'s a guy; of course not! Not until his best friend ranted over his. So, long story short, I ordered a pair of Keen Newport H2 and he loved them! They went from ocean to stream to rocky cliff; all over the island right out of the box. They even went out to dinner a couple of times! So glad he FINALLY listened to me! | | Sue Brent at Zappos.com on 08/29/2009 | | Rating: | | | This is my first pair of Keen sandals and I'm a huge fan now. I've been wearing various Timberland sandals for over 10 years and decided to try a new brand. Based on other reviews, I decided to try Keen and these sandals are great. They are very comfy, snug fitting, but easy to slip on and off. I like the solid front to protect the toes since I like to use my sandals while working around the house. The styling is a perfect balance of utilitarian and stylish for dinner at a casual restaurant. I can't judge durability yet but so far, so good. | | Ushir S at Zappos.com on 09/25/2009 | | Rating: | | | They feel great and are very comfortable. Great stylish look, too. I usually wear between a 9.5 or a 10. I originally tried these in a 10 and they were way too tight. I would recommend ordering a pair of H2\'s at least a 1/2 size larger than normal. I know that these are made with some type of anti-odor material in the soles, but it is not helping. I think because the sandals are more closed than a regular sandal, it is causing my feet to sweat more. The odor has been noticeable, but I don\'t care. They feel great! | | Todd B at Zappos.com on 09/19/2009 | | Rating: | | | First time buyer of Keen sandals. I have a pair of the Keen Kelowna Slip Ons. Love that shoe! Not many brands offer size 15. The fit on the H2 is spot on in length and width. The shoe looks and feel great. I bought this pair for an upcoming bareboat cruise in the BVI, so I have worn them quite a bit to get ready. I am very pleased as this will be my everyday shoe/sandal/boat shoe. Zappos is my number one shoe place. | | Don W at Zappos.com on 12/10/2009 |
| Negative Reviews:| Rating: | | | This is not a serious sport sandal! I bought these for a river hiking trip. It is a bad choice as they were destroyed in two days. The stitching in critical areas creates hot spots on your feet after extended use. I had to file down the hard pointy seam on the inside of both ankles after I developed a sore on both feet. The stitching was coming undone in multiple spots at the end of day two. Also had hot spots on top of both large toes near the toe nail after a day from sharp stitching points. I admit, this was a serious hike and I should not have trusted a new shoe for this job. After a decade of rough terrain in my Chaco sandals, I thought these looked like a great option with the added benefit of toe coverage. The bottom line, these are a casual sandal for casual use. They are not well made or rugged. If you do any wet hiking, consider 5-10 Canyoneers or Chaco sandals. These are fashion, not function. | | Evergreendean at Zappos.com on 12/21/2009 | | Rating: | | | This is my 4th pair of Keens and my first H2. They are at least one full size smaller than the listed size and my other 3 pairs. I can't really get them on my feet. You should find a store that has them and try them on in person before you buy them online. I was very disappointed. | | Tim G. at Zappos.com on 09/03/2009 |
