Oh man, I love these shoes! Seriously the most comfortable shoes I've ever owned. They slip on and off so quickly. They lasted me a full year of travel: hiking in the Andes, trudging through the rainforest, and scrambling over sharp lava rocks, and are still in great shape, the suede just looks a little worn. My feet never hurt! They're waterproof to a degree, but if submerged or really poured on, wetness does seep through and they then take a while (overnight) to dry. There also isn't very much grip on the bottoms; fine for sidewalks or grass but dangerous on wet rocks, steep paths or ice. You can see that they're pretty low around the ankle so they look kind of goofy with socks, and debris gets in pretty easily. Those are the few cons I've discovered over the past year, but I'm still wearing them. Definitely recommended!

Love Keens as they have a deep toe box and great foot support, making them terrific for immediate comfort and support. I have bunions and my other 4 pairs have been wonderful as they don\'t crowd that joint. I thought of Keens as being the one shoe that I could put on out of the box and walk for miles with no issues. But to my real disappointment, I put these on and had blisters on both heels in a short amount of time. I think it is because the heels are cut too high on the ankle (surely my heels aren\'t short?). Hopefully I can use heel inserts and the problem will be resolved. They are way cute and look great with jeans and pants.

Great for people with foot pain! Cute too! I decided to finally get good quality, supportive shoes because I have really bad foot pain. The minute I put these shoes on and began walking around in them, I was hooked. Since I have gotten them, I have worn a number of times even on trips where I have to do lots of walking --- and they have been terrific. My feet don't hurt in them at all or very little which is a huge improvement. Since I have such severe foot problems and I love Keens so much now, I am replacing all my shoes with Keens. Life is too short to be in pain.

Comfortable and easy to slip-on

Rating:****
I walk in these shoes rather than athletic shoe because they are comfortable. I have one pair of the same shoe I purchased one year ago. The heel is worn down, shoe has stretched out so that I have to wear a heavier sock. All in all, the price and comfort outweigh the inconvenience. It would be nice if Keen would make it so that you can put new heels on the shoes. I dislike the throw away after heel worn out because the rest of the shoe is still in good condition.

cute for keens

Rating:****
I own other Keen shoes, so expected the trademark look, comfort and durability. These are more stylish than others..very cute, and the color is great. Glad I didn't order the 1/2 size larger as suggested. They fit me true to size, and esp since they are a slip-on. Any larger would have been too big. Only problem is the stiffness, esp in the heel. Have had to "break them in" which is unusual for Keens. Expect to really enjoy these shoes!

I JUST got these, saw on Rick Steves' website that they were great for travel. I wear a 9, got a 9. They are perfect. I have not taken them off since they arrived this morning. I got magenta, they are beautiful. Must get some other colors, too. I was afraid they would look clownish, too clunky and not stylish, but they are CUTE too. They came overnight, too. Wow, Zappos!

Within a day or two of getting these, I went on a 4-mile walk. No blisters, no foot pain. And they're "cute" to boot. I love that I can easily slip them on and off. They're starting to "wear" a bit faster than I'd hoped, but I still really like them. I bought them for travel. May end up traveling with a pair of Calistogas instead for aesthetic reasons.

Very Contemporary Look - We're going to Paris and I needed to get two pairs of walking shoes. I have a pair of Keen sandals that took me all over the Galapagos. They were so comfortable, that I wanted to try a shoe by the same company. I think this will shoe looks rather cool and feel good for walking all over Paris.

Heel Bed Feels Like Air

Rating:*****
This is an amazing shoe. I just wish it came in more colors at this price! It totally runs a half size smaller so order big. The heel bed is actually more comfortable than my Keen H2's. I also ordered the clog version of this shoe and it was just as comfortable and also came in the brown color. Another great Keen product!

My favorite shoe - This shoe has become my favorite. I go for long walks in it, and my feet never get tired. The sole does not show wear after many miles. I was afraid that the shoe would get hot, but somehow my feet stay cool. I would strongly recommend this shoe. I hope they use the footbed for other models.

Cute, but Uncomfortable

Rating:**
Very cute shoes, but after one day of wear, my heels were rubbed raw from a poorly placed seam, and there was a noticeable lump under the insole of the right shoe. I loved the look, but had to return them.

Very disappointed in these Keens. Too bad; they're kind of cute in a funky way, but they're in the box to go back (actually they're cuter in the picture than in person). They're not nearly as cushioned or supportive as most Keens. They're also not cut the same at all; much narrower and the toe box is very shallow. The leather seems hard and stiff and there is very little arch support. I can't imagine wearing these for any long walks or sightseeing.

OK...I've tried several Keen shoes and I seem to be having difficulty. Most run really short, so I go up 1/2 a size. Still too short, so I go up another 1/2 a size to accommodate for the shortness. This particular shoe is huge if you follow that plan. Keen...I'm trying to love you. I have more coming to me, so maybe those will work. This one didn't. And that leather on this style is REALLY stiff. Still love Zappos though!

I do generally like the style of Keen shoes but they always seem to run small. Additionally, I am between a 10 and a 10.5 and the 11 was so snug I never bothered to put on the second shoe. They are pretty cute and I liked the color and the boiled wool look. But be forewarned, order at least a size up. Luckily Zappos affords us the luxury of trying as many sizes as necessary.

Sizing and comfort

Rating:***
I originally ordered the wrong size because the website suggested I order a 1/2 size larger. This wasn't the case for me--I always order a 7.5 in Keens and I found the 7.5 to fit. I find that these Keens have less foot support than their sandals. They are, however, a beautiful design and just won't be useful for me when I need to wear a shoe for many hours at a time.

a little narrow for keens

Rating:***
I usually like Keene's for the wide toe box- these shoes are QUITE narrow. Additionally, they have a funny- earth- shoe-ish pitch to them, not a repeater.
