Slipper shoe - I am soooo glad Zappos is finally selling Josef Seibel shoes. Ordered these in 39 and 40. Sending them back for a 41. I wear an 8 1/2 and the 40 felt tight across the top of my foot. Seibel shoes are just like wearing a fine house slipper. The leather they use is sooooo buttery. I am now wearing Dansko's and I would rather wear Seibel shoes any day of the week. Not really sure I will be able to put my Orthotics in the 41. Oh well. Love Joe Seibel, and thank you Zappos for a great business you run. I do not buy any of my shoes anymore at the Malls or any other web sites. Zappos is the BOMB. All in all this is a great fitting shoe, even if I may not be able to wear the 41's, maybe too big. Not real crazy about the zipper on the side, but I will take comfort over the zipper any time. They look great with jeans; they kind of look like you have a nice boot on. The shoe store that did sell Seibels stopped selling them. I would try them on at the store and come home and order them from Zappos. The price is the same at the store, but you get free ship/handling. Good deal

I've bought Josef Seibel's for a number of years. My favorite work shoe is the Tedra. I'm a nurse and on my feet for 12 hour tours. I've worn the same pair of Tedra for 4 years, but thought I needed a good replacement so I bought the Christina only because I can't find Tedra anywhere in my size (guess it's been discontinued). I do not like the Christina to work in. It has a different sole design which makes it unstable; my ankle turns and this worries me. I had to wear it unzipped until I broke them in; this caused me to lose my footing going down a flight of stairs while in a hurry. I won't bore you with my injury. It doesn't give all day support and my feet feel the difference. All in all, I won't recommend Christina for those who are on their feet for long periods, but they are good for casual wear and do look good. Wish I could get my hands on Tedra; I'd buy a lifetime supply.

Christina is for comfort - There is nothing as comfortable as a good Seibel shoe. Though Christina is no beauty, she is a solid walking shoe that stays on your feet when you're on rocky terrain and protects you when your dog takes off across a field after a rabbit. I couldn't find the same Seibel I had for a long time (but I'm still wearing when nobody sees me), so I ordered this because it came close to the solid tough walking shoe that has taken me for many miles. The only thing I don't like is the zipper. That endangers my nylons when I kick off the high heels and head out for a walk. With socks, that zipper can also cause a problem. With tight fitting socks and a little caution the problem is solved. It's a great shoe! I just wouldn't recommend it for glamor if it's worn with a skirt.

Great comfort - This shoe is very comfortable. If your foot tends to be wide and you have a high arch this shoe is really comfortable. I wear shoes without socks because my feet heat up and become incredibly itchy so I was leery of buying a closed shoe rather than a clog. In fact I wore this shoe for hours on end and actually forgot to even worry about my feet. I am very pleased with the shoe and the incredibly good Zappos customer service. I have never been let down. Thanks, Zappos!

The Josef Seibel Christina shoes are excellent. The fit is very good and they are extremely comfortable without being sloppy. I love the style, especially the zipper on the side. That allows the fit to be close and the shoe is still easy to get on and off. Zappos shipping and service is excellent.

Josef Seibel's Christina - I think this is a great shoe if you are going to be on your feet a lot! I bought 1/2 size larger because I had tried them on at a store, so I knew what I needed. Good buy and classy looking.

These shoes felt at least a size too small. I wear a 9 and ordered a 40 which converts to 9 9 1/2 and I could hardly get my foot into it. Will try a larger size if available.

I wear 9.5. Size 40 seemed to be too small, and size 41 a little too big. I end up wearing 41, which is fine with thick socks.
