Helped me get over a mental block

Rating:****
I used this watch to get over a mental block I had during my timed 2 mile run for the Army PT test. I knew I could run a faster 2 mile on the treadmill, where I knew what pace I was running at constantly. But when I would get on the track, I would automatically fall back into my comfort zone and get a slower time.
This watch helped me achieve my best ever track time. Yeah, a little excessive in price for what I bought it for, but it gets much more use than that now!
Some people may say that it's uncomfortable, but I don't mind it as long as I'm running. This watch cannot be worn with regular clothes while you shop for groceries! Some people also argue that it may be off by a .1 mile, but it was accurate for the PT test.
Read the instructions, take some time to learn it before you use it, and this watch will take your running to a whole new level!

Great training partner!

Rating:*****
I love that I no longer have to map out runs before I go and that it helps me keep a specific pace. It does have a short battery life, but will easily go a few runs between charging. I've had problems with the ANT Agent transferring updates to the unit and hope Garmin tech support can help.

If you run, walk or bike, its a must!

Rating:*****
I use the 405 to train and run. Currently I am training for my first marathon and had not ran before 5 months ago. The Garmin helps me keep proper pace and to research my runs after on the computer. Also, if you are away from home you can easily look up routes from other people.
