Positive Reviews:| Rating: | | | I wish I could get these in every color. These are the most comfortable shoes I own! From the very first day you wear them, you will adore them. No breaking in period. In addition, they are adorable ballet flats. I currently own them in black and a brushed gold metallic, and find myself reaching for one of those two pairs almost every day. I have owned the gold metallic for almost two years now, and they still look brand new, and have held their fit beautifully. Wear them with anything you wear ballet flats with. My personal fav is to wear with skinny jeans. Do not hesitate to buy; they are worth every penny! | | Anonymous at Zappos.com on 11/09/2009 | | Rating: | | I ordered these shoes because of the style and leather lining. I have high expectations of the overall quality. I read the reviews before purchasing my first pair. At age 64, I am lucky to have very good, healthy feet and no need of support. I take an 8.5 - 9 Narrow shoe, and chose to order a 9 in this model. They feel just right! They wouldn't stay on my feet if I ordered a full size up, as recommended by many customers. My big toe is right up to the end of the shoe, but they feel very comfortable. If your feet are narrow, I recommend buying your normal size!

I have a hard time with ballet flats because many of them don't cover enough of your toes to be comfortable walking shoes, but these do! The only negative is that they run big and are sort of loose on my feet. I even put in shoe pads and they still feel loose. I would order a size down, or get 2 pairs & plan to return one. | | Le b at Zappos.com on 11/11/2009 | | Rating: | | | These shoes run true to size even though the description says to order up. I definitely have a size 9 foot and they fit me just fine. They do stretch out a bit after some wear but really shaped to my feet quite well. They are very durable and the price is quite reasonable. I have them in three other colors and wear them with everything. | | Anonymous at Zappos.com on 12/04/2009 | | Rating: | | | Solve the arch support issue. I bought these because I needed a cute new pair of winter flats. I solved the arch support issue by also ordering a pair of Birkenstock insoles. Voila! The shoes are about as cute as flats can get, and I didn't find they ran as small as some of the other reviewers said, possibly because I have a fairly narrow foot. | | Ann at Zappos.com on 11/18/2009 | | Rating: | | | I purchased these for my 17 year-old daughter. She wears them almost everyday. They are the perfect thing for anything you want to wear and they are taking a beating. I was hesitant to pay the higher price, but so far it has been worth it. She wore them right out of the box and has never skipped a beat. | | Julia L at Zappos.com on 12/17/2009 | | Rating: | | | A great classic ballet flat. Not much arch support or cushioning, but they look great with tights and a tunic and are still pretty comfortable. I ordered 1 full size up and they fit great. I will be ordering the brown ones as well. | | Anonymous at Zappos.com on 01/19/2010 | | Rating: | | | Great fit! Love the leather lining. I have narrow feet and amazingly, these stay on my feet just fine. They have a slight gap on the sides when you bend your foot, but I think that is to be expected. So Audrey Hepburn! | | Diane J at Zappos.com on 12/10/2009 | | Rating: | | | Great shoe. Fits as sized. Wider than expected, which is good because I have a wide toebox and often have trouble finding shoes that are comfortable in this style. Stretched a bit more than I would have liked, but overall, great shoe. | | Anonymous at Zappos.com on 12/20/2009 | | Rating: | | | This is an extremely comfortable shoe. It\'s like wearing a slipper. Ordering a half a size up was just right. This shoe is roomier, wider, and covers more of the foot than other flats so it\'s a more casual than sleek look. | | Nancy S at Zappos.com on 11/28/2009 |
| Negative Reviews:| Rating: | | | Well, when they say these are flats they mean they are F-L-A-T-S! These are cute shoes and I love how they come in a bunch of fun patterns and colors, but this is as flat as a shoe can get. They remind me of the inexpensive slippers you get in Chinatown except they cost about 90% more. They were immediately comfortable, but I knew I would pay for lack of support. I also found the top a little too high on my foot. I think I like a little more toe "cleavage". Also, I ordered two different colors hoping they would be keepers, but one pair was bigger than the other. Holding them up side by side they were nowhere near equal in size. Both read 8 on the bottom of the shoe. They don't seem like the quality of a pair of shoes at this price. | | Anonymous at Zappos.com on 11/23/2009 |
Neutral Reviews:| Rating: | | | I own these in red as well and get compliments on them all the time, possibly because they are red shoes. I wanted a pair of more neutral ones so I got the anthracite, which are a little more neutral-gray than the brown. These are far from being the perfect shoe; however, with some tweaking, heel-inserts or full sole-inserts (if you can fit them in), they can be a very practical shoe. Without the inserts, though, it pretty much feels like you are walking barefoot on pavement. Expensive for flats, but once they are worn in with the proper tweaking, they are very comfortable and I must say, make me feel very French! | | Jciek at Zappos.com on 11/28/2009 | | Rating: | | | I really wanted to like these but they are not feminine. They look like the Chinese Mary Jane slippers I used to wear when I was little (minus the strap of course). They are cut too high on the top, perhaps if they were cut lower or came to more of a point at the toe they would be sexier. I normally wear 7 1/2 and the 8 fit me in the length but they were too wide for me (my feet are on the narrow side but I still wear a medium width). These would be good for wide feet. | | Anonymous at Zappos.com on 01/11/2010 | | Rating: | | | When I first got the shoe I noticed it pinched the back of my heel. After a few wears I guess my foot built up a callous there so it doesn't pinch anymore. However, I cannot wear this shoe for more than an hour of walking because the top pinches into the top of my foot leaving a red line that stays sore. The shoe is the correct size, and it's soft and comfortable in every other aspect, except for the lining around the top, which is what is pinching into me. | | Anonymous at Zappos.com on 11/19/2009 | | Rating: | | | I ordered these shoes in several colors and textures because they were exactly the look I was wanting. Unfortunately, they run at least as full size short. They are very cute shoes, but killer on the feet unless you order up. Since I'm a size 12, there is no size larger, so I wear these sometimes anyway, and then spend a few days recovering. | | Elaine at Zappos.com on 12/24/2009 | | Rating: | | | These shoes run an entire size too small. I wear a size 8, and occasionally a size 7 1/2. So I ordered a size 8 1/2 after reading the reviews. They were still too small. The shoe is stiff and uncomfortable. The Calvin Klein black suede flat is much better. I returned these. | | Kathy H at Zappos.com on 12/08/2009 | | Rating: | | | Comfortable, but they are definitely not form-fitting. After the first wear, the shoe stretched and does not flatter the foot at all. I'll gladly keep these and wear with long jeans or slacks, but never a skirt or dress that would show my feet. | | BSpores at Zappos.com on 01/03/2010 | | Rating: | | | I like the shoe, comfy, but it does run very wide! I ordered 1/2 size larger then my normal size, which I needed. | | Anonymous at Zappos.com on 11/19/2009 |
