Berg's Ski Shop

From the music culture that Factory came from, and many album covers he's well known for; New Order, OMD, and Joy Division, to name a few, Peter Seville has been asked by DC to commission his amazing artwork into their snowboard line of outerwear and hardgoods. The result is genious!
The HKD, their Honeycomb Kevlar Directional board, represents the pinnacle of the DC snowboard line - it's the lightest, most responsive board available from DC. An all-mountain directional twin tip, the HKD is ready for all types of riding, from the half pipe to the powder.
The HKD features DC's handmade PHANTOM core, which combines lightweight honeycomb with responsive, vertically laminated of poplar and obeche. The core also features their DUAL TORSION BOX with KEVLAR and CARBON, a construction technique that provides shock absorption, vibration dampening, and great stability. HKD boards are wrapped with a durable (yet lightweight) 64.20 BI-AX laminate, meaning the board is virtually bombproof. The HKD has a laser finished, high quality 7200 SINTERED base, making it firm, durable, and exceptionally fast.
Ryan says:My favorite DC board, DC did it right. Great all mountain ride. Super light and maneuverable in the park. Definitely a force in steep chutes and pow. Fast and fun. Great work DC. Awsome graphic too.

The DC HKD Snowboard, or Honeycomb Kevlar Directional board, represents the pinnacle of the DC snowboard line – it’s the lightest, most responsive board available from DC. An all-mountain direction twin tip, the DC HKD Snowboard is ready for all types of riding, from the half pipe to the powder.
Features:
- Base - 7200 Sintered Supreme Optic base is a high density sintered base that’s firm, exceptionally fast and super water-resistant. The porous surface allows easy absorption of wax meaning longer lasting tune ups.
- Construction and Core - Handmade as the top of the line core, the Phantom is the strongest, lightest and most powerful core available. Vertically laminated Aspen is bonded to an ultra lightweight sealed honeycomb beam. Add dual Carbon and Kevlar reinforcement to amplify pop, increase durability, dampen vibration and stabilize the board. Simply put, the Phantom core is the ultimate combination of performance, durability and versatility.
- Flex and Rider Style - Flex rating: 7 (1 Soft - 10 Stiff) A dual radius tip and tail creates a profile that provides optimum performance for all mountain riding.
- Sidewalls and Edges - 100% pre-treated high grade steel edges wrap the entire snowboard, then are factory sealed to keep out the elements.

Step on the DC HKD Snowboard and shred into a different world of possibility. This board features DC’s Honeycomb Kevlar Directional construction and a lightweight, crazy responsive, highly durable Phantom core. DC wrapped vertically laminated wood in a Dual Torsion Box, a combination of super-strong and lightweight Kevlar and carbon. This engineered construction makes the HKD stronger than a roided-out Austrian, and poppier than mom’s FM presets. DC used a laser—yeah, a laser—to finish the HKD’s sintered base, so you know you this siiiick stick ain’t your dad’s snurfboard. If you’re not into all that tech sh!t, then you’ll drool over Peter Saville’s tectonic waveform graphic for the HKD.
