Great jacket for the price

Rating:****

I bought this for my girlfriend for Christmas and ended up giving it to her early. I was going to buy her a Northface 3-in-1, but she thought this one was "cute" so I went with it instead. I didn't have high expectations for the jacket, but after testing it out sking at Heavenly this weekend, it did the job. It was incredibly windy with lots of snow and the mountain was even closed down after a few hours on a high wind advisory. She stayed warm and dry and I was pretty impressed with how the jacket performed. For the money, you can't go wrong with this one.

3 jackets in 1

Rating:*****

I've had Columbia jackets before, but had not tried the Interchange style. I really enjoy the option of either wearing the shell or the fleece or both. I get compliments everytime I wear the fleece (I got the charcoal grid, and the fleece is pool neon green pixilated). I thought the pool neon green was going to be over the top, but it is perfect. I also love the grey shell. I can't wait until it gets cold enough for me to wear both jackets together. Wearing them together is not too bulky and the fit really is feminine and shapes nicely!

My favorite coat ever! I have never been so warm & comfortable!

Rating:*****

I am a total freezebaby. My husband got a Columbia parka several years ago and loves it so much. I needed a new coat and he strongly suggested I try a Columbia parka. I am amazed how warm it is--and lightweight. I love having the hood and it being rain/water resistant too on the outer shell. When the weather was changing here, I wore it with the liner in in the morning and then took the liner out in the afternoon when it warmed up. I love this coat!!!!

Best Coat I have ever owned

Rating:*****
My Fiance bought me this coat recently, and I LOVE IT! Its amazingly warm and comfortable to wear. I tested its water resistance last weekend in a rain storm and stayed perfectly dry. I love how you can unzip the inner layer and wear it seperately. The double zipper is a bit tricky to zip up sometimes, but thats the only negative comment I have about it. If you want a winter coat that withstands the wind, rain and snow, this is the one for you.

love it.

Rating:*****

this jacket works perfectly for me...i live in chicago with lots of crazy weather and it withstands it all. i bought the gray one for everyday wear...it's super casual and goes great with jeans. was out in the rain for a while and i stayed nice and dry and warm. it also has a figure flattering shape which can be hard to find in a winter coat, very cute. and the outter shell looks perfect for spring rain. i'm very happy with my purchase.

It Fits My Tall, Thin Daughter!

Rating:*****

I just bought this jacket for my 16 yr old daughter, she is 6' tall and normally wears a size 6 or 8. I was worried about arm length in proportion to body width. I ordered both a medium and a large and the large fit the bill. It is warm and she loves the "Bugaboo" logo on the back collar. She also loves the pocket for her Ipod. We are pleased with the value of the jacket, shipping was quick!

Nice but....

Rating:****

Just got this jacket, it seems warm as the liner fleece is relatively thick (cute as a stand alone too). My biggest complaint is the outershell. When I wear it, it sounds like I am wrapped in plastic grocery bags. The outer shell is a very thin, plasticy material. I'm sure it does a great job at repelling rain, however, I'm not the biggest fan of the scratchy noises it makes every time I move.

Warm and Water Resistant!

Rating:*****
I just wore this jacket for the first time skiing today in Tahoe and it kept me very warm and dry while skiing in the snow and rain. I loved the ease of the two way zippers and unzipped the bottom on to access my pant pockets and no snags or locked up zipper jams! I really love the way this jacket fits and the fact that it comes in XS. It is stylish too!

Nice Coat. Great Value

Rating:****

Used it skiing in CO over christmas and it kept me nice and toasty in Winterpark and Vail. only downside is there are no underarm zip vents on the shell. Also, there is only 1 inside pocket on the shell that is velcro closure. I could have used one more inside pocket with a zipper (for cash, id etc) Over all though, nice coat. Great value.

Worth every penny!

Rating:*****

This is a light, but warm coat; with the fleece lining. Without the fleece lining it's more like a rain coat. If what you want is a versitle, warm, cool, casual, comfortable, kind of coat then this is the one you're looking for. Check out www.retailmenot.com for coupon codes to save some cash and make that purchase a little easier on the pocket.

Stylish, attractive, but not as 'serious' as I needed

Rating:***

I purchased this jacket in black -- it was very stylish and attractive, but unfortunately it went back. Whether it's for you or not depends on what you're looking for. The length hits just below the hip if you're looking for something a little longer, and the tailored shape of the body is very flattering. However, the jacket is cut quite narrow in the upper arms, around/under the arms and in the shoulders. Not a 'width' issue across the shouldlers, more of a 'circumference' issue -- diameter of armholes, upper arms etc. This is primarily a constraint of the zip-in fleece liner, not so much the outer shell. If you plan to only wear a single layer, or something fairly thin under the jacket, or if you have stick-thin arms and shoulders, you'll be fine, but if you want some room for an extra layer, a bulkier sweater, etc, you may find as I did that it's just too snug in that one area. I even tried a larger size, but the main difference was arms that were too long, and too much width in the rest of the jacket. The other oddity -- the zipper for the zip-in fleece liner is great -- good looking and 'beefy' -- but the actual main zipper for the coat is a little fine-toothed wimpy thing. Perhaps it's stronger than it looks, but it doesn't match the rest of the coat, and it's hard to deal with if you're wearing gloves or mittens because it's so 'petite'. Another missing feature is adequate pockets -- unlike the Men's Bugaboo, neither the shell nor the fleece liner have anything but the most basic pockets. And to clarify an earlier question -- there are NO pit zips. No internal pockets for gloves, goggles, or anything. The shell has the little pockets on the sleeves as shown on the photo, but that's it. The hood is not insulated, of course, since it is part of the outer shell. Bottom line, this parka is very attractive and fashionable, but not really a serious snowsport jacket or "gear" jacket if you need those features or if you have serious winter weather. Too bad, because I it's a gorgeous parka. It wouldn't be that hard to "fix" those features (are you listening Columbia?). I ended up with the LL Bean "Rugged Ridge Parka" -- which is not a system parka, and doesn't have as much of a tailored shape, but it does have the "serious" features and construction critical to me that the Bugaboo unfortunately did not have.

Stylish but not my top pick

Rating:***

Live in New England and needed a super warm jacket.
Liked this coat a lot because it was so funky, but I'm outgrowing that stage of my life. I realized I needed something more versatile (can snowboard in and go out to dinner in etc).
Also, the outer shell was a little too long and the sleeves of the inner shell were a little too short (for my liking). Fits true to size overall.

Final pick: Columbia Revibe Parka (Black).
Tag on the coat said $345 and it's on Backcountry for $197! (It's actually marked down now to $140!) By far the best bang for your buck. Super warm (down inner shell) and doesnt zip in, it snaps in, so you have access to both shells' pockets. Fits perfectly true to size and looks good.
