Great jacket/coat!

Rating:****
I love my new jacket - it's summer in California but I'm heading to Colorado in December when I can really test it out. The fit is accurate, sleeves are nice and long, and the attention to detail is obvious with the fleece around the cuffs and the way you can open the zip from bottom or top. My only slight grumble is that the hood could be a little deeper, but I'm very happy overall. I got my jacket three days after placing my order on Altrec - service was wonderful as always, and the fabulous sale price made this purchase irresistible.

Warmth Without Michelin Effect

Rating:*****
Overall great in that it is both warm and very stylish. I can wear it over pajamas and still feel like I look good (feeling like I look good is as important as actually looking good!) Medium is true to size for me - 5'5", 120lbs, size 4-6. Usually sleeves are always too short for me but the sleeve length is long in order to allow for the cuffs to roll up to show the soft wrist lining.

GREAT!

Rating:*****
I have been looking for a 3/4 length jacket and this was exactly what I wanted. I couldn't believe what a fantastic brand Cloudveil is. We have nothing like this in Kentucky even though our weather gets very cold and damp in the winter. Thanks to the customer service agent for suggesting this label. The attention he gave me and the details of the jacket are great!

Divine Down Jacket

Rating:*****
I purchased the Oslo jacket just before temperatures dipped way below zero and deep snows arrived, and I couldn't be happier with this jacket! The medium length keeps you warm and protected from the wind but doesn't restrict movement for brisk winter walks through city or trails. The fleece collar and cuffs and a cozy, soft touch. I've never been warmer during a New England winter.

Absolutely perfect except....

Rating:****
I did a lot of research to find just the right jacket for Chicago winters. This jacket is perfect in every way except the snaps break. I would return it, but I love everything else about it, especially the tight-fitting hood that is snug like a hat with the magnets for adjust-ability. Also, the fleece at the cuffs and the neck make it extra snuggly.

comfy coat

Rating:*****
The Clouveil Oslo Jacket fits well and is true to size. The fleece around the neck feels warm and comfy on a cold day. The fit is flattering, and doesn't make you look like a marshmallow. I had a problem when two snaps broke, but Altrec was great to work with and immediately shipped a replacement coat.

Love the jacket

Rating:*****
I love the brand Cloudveil, and this jacket didn't disappoint me. Ordered medium in pearl, I wear size 8-10 dress. Fits great, and I love the sleeve/cuff combination. It helps keep me warm in both Colorado and Maine, especially in the cold ice rinks, watching my son play ice hockey.

great coat!

Rating:*****
My daughter researched down coats online & thought this one sounded best. The reality exceeded her expectations and hopes to have this coat for many years. Christmas was snowy & cold...so it got a good 1st test.

Just what I need in these freezing temps!

Rating:*****
I bought this coat to wear while I am enduring below freezing temps at my sweet son's soccer game. It is just the right thing.. to bad there aren't gloves in the same product!

Negative Reviews:

Not that cute and not warm

Rating:**
I just bought this jacket in a size small in pearl. I am 5 foot 4 inches 120 pounds. It fit well but did not have any shaping around the waist; in fact, it fits like a sack. The collar and the cuffs are snuggly and the cutest parts, BUT the most important part, the body of the coat is so thin it is laughable they are selling this as a winter coat. The down is very thin and there is almost none in the arms and it is thinner than a fall puffer coat I bought for $80. I wore the coat last week in 31 degrees and a windchill of 4 degrees. I tried it first with just a long underwear shirt on with a long-sleeve cotton shirt over that. My arms were cold almost immediately and the pockets are not snuggly. My body was really cold in less than 5 minutes. Then I tried it with a heavyweight fleece hoodie fully zipped. It helped a lot but then I looked like a freakin sausage and the coat is so thin you could see the hoodie lines on the tops of my legs front and back. Alas, I wanted to love this coat. It sounded so good from the other reviews. But the Cloudveil Women's Oslo Jacket is cold and not that cute. If you live in the south, go ahead and try it. If you live in the north do not waste your money; you will be cold for $300.
