I can train again! | |

| I agree with the other reviews, this product is great! My husband was skeptical when I first bought it, but I have used it numerous times. Last year we used it for our 2 older children when they got tired on the trail. The Chariot has a great storage area on the back of it that we could throw their skis and poles in when they had had enough...very hard to pull with large children (you won't go very fast), but this year I've been mainly using it for my infant who is now 8 months old. She falls asleep right away as we hit the trail and never wakes up until I'm taking the equipment apart at the end. She seems cozy and warm, so the wind cover seems sufficient for blocking out the MN wind! I used to ski competitively and still like to go fast...you definitely double your training time with this, but it's overall faster using the skate ski style vs. classic. With classic there is an issue with your forward momentum being cut off and it's harder to get much kick...but this isn't an issue with the product, but with the issue of pulling a heavy object behind you :) Other than a small problem with lining up the pins in the holes as one other reviewer noted, I have no issues with setup and am overall pleased that it's so darn easy! Great for a hard work-out in a short period of time! And the kids think it's a blast. Haven't used it snowshoeing, but I imagine it's wonderful. | |

Over 200 days - it rocks | |

Can't say enough good things about the Chariot and ski conversion kit. My daughter loves it, and it really isn't that heavy if you love to ski for fitness anyway. We did some extra outfitting to make it really comfy in the cold - we use the fleece bunting bag from Chariot, added some puffy Primaloft layers, put a foam pad under her butt and feet, and on really cold days add a hot water bottle - she sleeps comfortably in any weather, and has never complained about any cold ever. The only low quality component is the skis themselves - cheap rossignol junk, but when they wear out (over 175 days or so), just replace them with some Junior skate skis, and it is better than new.

Good workout | |

This is a nice addition to the Chariot for those wanting to take their kid cross country skiing with them. Everything is well engineered. When pulling the Chariot bike attachment on the bike, I tend to forget its there, but you won't "forget" there is somebody behind you on this. This is a really good workout with a 25lb child in the back. I'm hoping he's skiing by himself when he's 50lb. Some hills present a unique challenge, and I would not suggest going down the steeper ones without skis with edges.

Still first rate on kid ski carriers!

| Compared both the Chariot & Burley ski kits on the snow with each chassis--Advantage Chariot: Easier push-button ski attachment, sits higher off snow. Advantage Burley: Convenient push-button poles, less expensive. Both do the job well, although Burley's quick-release levers needed some adjustment to fit the axle housing for tightness, but the Chariot kit is much more expensive. Both are very similar in their design. Either will work & work well! | |

Couldn't Be Much Better

| Recently purchased and have used several times skiing and snowshoeing - works well for both. Uncomplicated setup - though in cold weather trying to lineup holes for pins with no gloves can be a bit challenging. Handles all conditions extremely well, even going across a slope. My 1 year old likes it (meaning he falls asleep quickly). Can bottom out when cresting hills. | |

XC Ski and have kids, you need this!

| When we had our son, we couldn't wait to take him skiing. He is so warm and comfortable in this carrier and it is so easy to use. It is a little heavy up hills, but is good for training. I would buy this again. I just wish it were a bit less expensive. | |
