The Burton Men's AK BK Insulator Jacket works as a serious mid-layer piece when the temps get brutally cold, a bomber outer layer when the temps are a bit cold, and your go-to piece for bar-hopping after the ride. Unlike those ultra-puffy down jackets which don't even let you move around to strap in and ride, this Burton jacket features low-profile construction and still maintains the warmth of high-loft 700-fill down. Not to mention the soft, warm, polyester lining.

I can't say enough good things about this jacket. The fit is spot on. The weight to warmth ratio is good, not the best but good. The neck height is great for stand alone use or layering. The one issue with the design of the coat is there is no protection from the pitzips. I usually wear a short sleeve under it when out on the town and that metal to skin contact could easily be avoided.

This is a great layering piece for those 10 degree and colder days up at Snowbird. Its super light and thin, so it goes under your shell great. I am 6'3" and 235 lbs and I went with the XXL. It fits great. Its a bit loose so I can wear a light fleece under it if I need to.
